Him Law Didn’t Tell Tavia Yeung About His Kissing Scene in “Infernal Affairs”
Him Law (羅仲謙), who married Tavia Yeung (楊怡) earlier this month, didn’t have much time to rest after the wedding. This week, the 32-year-old headed back into the set of Media Asia’s Infernal Affairs <無間道>, the web drama spin-off for the film series of the same name.
In the series, which also stars Gallen Lo (羅嘉良) and Bernice Liu (廖碧兒), Him plays an OCTB inspector who is hot on Gallen’s trail. Him is paired up with Chinese actress Jolie Zhu (朱銳), and the two shared a romantic kissing scene right before Him’s wedding.
Him is definitely no stranger to kissing scenes, having that he has kissed costars Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and Ali Lee (李佳芯), after he started dating Tavia. There were even rumor that he had developed off-screen relationships with Mandy and Sisley, but both were debunked.
Him said he didn’t tell Tavia that he had to kiss Jolie, saying, “Tavia’s in this industry too, so she knows that it comes with the job. There’s no need to tell her about it!” (Not afraid that she’ll be jealous?) “Why would she? She has confidence in me!”
In a crime show like Infernal Affairs, romance takes only a small part in the story. Him said his kissing scene with Jolie is important, as it sets the tone of their characters and relationship. They shot the scene one month into filming.
“Jolie and I are familiar with each other now, so we’ve found our chemistry,” said Him. “It’s a good thing that I didn’t know her too well when we shot the scene. It’ll be pretty awkward if we were.” On how he prepared for the scene, Him said, “Brushed my teeth and chewed gum. Made sure my breath didn’t smell.” (How many takes?) “We had several! The director wanted different angles.”

There are too many articles on Tavia and Him Law since their wedding. Do they deserve so much reporting, including Him Law’s kissing scene in a drama series?
@orchid123 Absolutely agree. I love the couple but there are far too many reports about them. Just how newsy is it for an actor to be involved in a kissing scene? As I said before, Jayne Stars has to do better.
