Hu Ge and Cecilia Liu to Endorse “Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils” Online Game

A recent source revealed that Hu Ge (胡歌) and Cecilia Liu (刘诗诗) both won the spots to endorse for upcoming mainland Chinese 3D online game, Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils <天龙八部> after two weeks of worldwide voting by fans.

The online game organizers wanted to find a perfect “wuxia couple” to endorse their game, and on September 21, a poll was put online to have the fans vote for their favorite couple. The poll ended on October 8, and Hu Ge and Cecilia Liu won the poll by a landslide.

It is currently unknown which couple Hu Ge and Cecilia Liu will portray from the Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils story, but it is highly likely that the pair will portray the game’s main couple, Duan Yu and Wang Yuyan.

A new format of the game will debut online on October 25, 2012.

As two of the most popular young leading television actors in mainland China, Hu Ge and Cecilia Liu are frequent collaborators. The onscreen pair never had a chance to work together as a couple until 2012’s Ballad of the Desert <大漠谣>. In an earlier interview in Hong Kong this week, Cecilia has expressed her wish to work with Hu Ge as a romantic couple. Her wish has finally come true!

  1. They have great chemistry onscreen, but LSS as Wang Yu Yan??? LSS is good looking, but not WYY level. And WYY didn’t really love Duan Yu.

    1. Why she always have this “I am better than you” look all the time even if in person she is not that arrogant?

      1. Nicky Wu doesn’t seem to be into her.

What about Yuan Hong? Poor Yuan Hong!!

        Hu Ge belongs with Wallace!!!!

      2. She is not into Nicky or Kevin in real life. She seems to be the most comfortable with Yuan Hong but not sure if they like each other in that way…

      3. For some reason I started shipping her with Wallace Huo IRL after Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei (the best drama I’ve ever seen, hands down). They look so good together… I’ve always found Hu Ge a bit cartoonish.

    1. They already have a series together as mentioned above. Can’t wait to see it!

      1. They are not the otp though, Shishi will end up with eddie and Hu Ge will be all alone again. *sob*

    2. I believe there is a production in progress to making this series starring Wallace Chung and a Korean actor as male leads.

  2. Im a GeShi supporter and cant wait for this 🙂
hopefully they can be couple in reality :d

    1. Not sure that they can because they have said many times in real life that they are like siblings and do not have that love spark. But anything can happen in the future.

      1. yeapp, i heard of that as well.
hopefully after da mo yao they will get roles as main couple and that ‘spark’ begins to exist :p

    2. I really hope these two get together in real life. It would be so cute!

    1. His hair’s somewhat grown on me, but at first I thought, “he needs a fringe.”

  3. Hu Ge and Cecilia seem too much like siblings to me now… They need to get her and Yuan Hong together!

    1. I don’t see the siblings vibe at all but maybe im just biased lol.

      1. Me too. Even when they were supposed to act as sibling in CP3, they acted like lovers instead. And that was how ShiGe shippers were born…LOL.

      2. I get what you mean. They also look physically compatible, but I’m just not feeling the romance. (I guess I’m probably in the minority.)
