Huang Xiaoming Buys Diamond Ring; Ready to Propose to Angelababy in Japan?
Another celebrity marriage may be coming sooner than expected. According to the Hong Kong media, Chinese superstar Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) wants to propose to his girlfriend Angelababy (楊穎) next month in Japan.
For the past three years, Xiaoming and Angelababy kept their relationship in the low until last month, when Xiaoming surprised Angelababy with a black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder at her 25th birthday party. It was later reported that the Lamborghini was a used car originally owned by Chilam Cheung (張智霖), and Angelababy allegedly felt awkward about receiving the hand-me-down gift in such a high-profile manner.
Knowing that Angelababy was upset, Xiaoming decided to give her a genuine surprise this time – a marriage proposal. Recently, Xiaoming entrusted a close friend in Hong Kong to help him purchase a diamond engagement ring, which he plans to propose to Angelababy with when the couple are in Japan for their vacation in April.
It has been said that Xiaoming and Angelababy have been contemplating marriage for a while, but Angelababy firmly said that she would only tie the knot with Xiaoming if he became a Film King. Xiaoming has already proven himself last year, when he won the Golden Rooster and Huabiao awards for Best Actor for his performance in American Dreams in China <中國合夥人>.
Earlier, Xiaoming attended a press conference for his new film. He did not avoid questions concerning Angelababy, and even happily played along with his marriage rumors. “I think we will find our own designer for our wedding apparel,” he said. Does he have a certain wedding gown in mind for Angelababy? Xiaoming smiled and exclaimed, “As long as it’s simple and beautiful!”
