Jay Chou Publicly Acknowledges Relationship with Hannah Quinlivan
With wedding intentions around the corner, Jay Chou (周杰倫) shared photos of himself and Hannah Quinlivan (昆凌) on his Sina Weibo, officially announcing their relationship after years of attempting to keep the romance low-profile.
“When my concert ended yesterday, I received a lot of well wishes from my fans. All of you wished that I would be happy. I was also very moved by the scenes of you watching the concert with your entire family, basking in your familial bliss. It has been 14 years and it is now time for me to share about my happiness.” Jay then posted two photos in which he and Hannah posed as a couple, looking very sweet and very much in love.
The response from Jay’s fans has been overwhelming. Some remarked that Hannah must be the luckiest woman in the universe to be able to marry Jay, while some expressed sadness that the idol they have been infatuated with for 14 years is finally going to marry someone else.
Wedding Preparations Already Underway
Jay’s public announcement was not unexpected, as he stated at the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan that he would be marrying “Mrs. Chou” by January 2015. He even added, “I will definitely keep to my word.”
Jay also revealed his aspirations to become a father before he turns 36. “Although I’m a celebrity, I’m also human. I also want to have a great family and kids. I would like mini Jay Chou to watch my concert in the future, so I cannot get married too late, as I do not want my child and I to have an excessive age gap.”
Wedding preparations are reportedly well underway. Jay and Hannah have already taken their wedding photos in Europe. With Jay meeting with famous Taiwanese magician Lu Chen (刘谦), the wedding is speculated to incorporate Jay’s love of magic tricks. Nevertheless, the couple kept quiet about the details of their wedding. Hannah has only revealed that she is enjoying the wedding planning process, and that the venue will be one “where people conventionally get married”.

I thought she looked a bit different too, maybe she dyed her hair, she doesn’t look mixed in the photo above.

I mean “she found the golden ticket!” I remember she said she wasn’t thinking about marriage and was thinking about college when news broke about their relationship and now it’s wedding bells!

I’ve watched her interviews on YouTube. Having been brought up in Australia you’d expect her English to be fluent, it’s actually quite bad and she’s not very articulate when she speaks…like a valley girl
