Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) and Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) appeared at a promotional event for TVB series, Curse of the Royal Harem <萬凰之王>. Since her management contract recently ended, Jessica was in the midst of discussing new contract terms with TVB. Since TVB faced a mass exodus of talent, it was an opportune time to ask for a salary increase. Jessica commented, “That’s not the case, but [the salary increase] is slightly better than in the past.”
Asked whether City Telecom’s Chairman, Ricky Wong (王維基), had attempted to recruit her, Jessica did not answer directly. Looking at her manager, Jessica said, “I don’t know how to answer!” When the reporter pointed out that Jessica should request TVB to pay her the same amount as the fee she received in mainland, China, Jessica laughed, “You cannot calculate it in the same way! Even if it were not the mainland amount, it would be nice to adjust for the deflating value of the Hong Kong dollar versus the Yuan.”
As for her pick for this year’s TV Queen, Jessica praised Curse of the Royal Harem costar, Myolie Wu, for putting in hard efforts and professionalism. Praised by Jessica, Myolie admitted that she felt pressure and was nervous, but will not dwell upon the matter.

I think moylie or Tavia should win best actress as they work so hard and has good acting skills. If fala wins beat actress now that’s stupid because she won best supporting actress last year and if she wins best actress this year now that’s a bit unfair. Overall I think that moylie should win best actress this year. It’s her time!

I think Tavia and Myolie both deserver the award. But unfortunately, Tavia’s roles this year were all quite boring. Don’t get me wrong – I love Tavia and really admire her acting skills. In terms of character, I think Myolie is luckier this year. She got some interesting and catchy roles.
Myolie will win. If not for Curse, then TVB will probably give it based on GJ. And even though it’s way too early to predict, Tavia looks to be having good chances for next year with her many shows.
Answer : watch the series first. If reaction is negative, answer is no.

So do I! Myolie has certainly done well in The Rippling Blossom and Ghetto Justice and on these 2 alone she deserves to win this year’s TVB award as best actress. In the past performances I notice that she has always striven to give her best and on top of that she has changed gradually from plain jane to glamour puss!She is fit to wear the ctown and be queen.
I think it’s hilarious that myolie should feel nervous in front of jessica. Jessica has never been able to act throughout the decades while myolie has improved immensely since she started. I can’t watch curse of the royal harem cause I can’t stand watching Jessica
