On November 14^th, Jimmy Lin Chi Wing’s father suffered a heart attack and entered the hospital emergency room. Doctors immediately performed heart surgery on Mr. Lin heart surgery to avoid further health complications. On the night his father had the heart attack, Jimmy was filming his new movie, Speed Angel <极速天使> in Shanghai . He requested a leave of absence from the filming to visit his father in Taiwan on November 15th.

Yesterday, Jimmy held a press conference to thank the media’s concern shown towards his father.Thanking the National Taiwan University Hospital for their careful treatment, Jimmy was grateful his father received the best medical care in the shortest amount of time.

Growing up in a single-parent family, Jimmy was very close to his father. When he learned of his father’s heart attack, Jimmy felt scared and cried. Since Jimmy’s son was born, Jimmy cherished the time spent with his own father even more. Jimmy will continue to take good care of his own health due to his love for his son and father. Whether working or car racing, Jimmy will pay special attention to his safety and health.
Jimmy’s colleagues on the set of Speed Angel, Tang Wei, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Rene Liu Yeuk Ying have expressed their concern towards Mr. Lin as well.
