Jinny Ng Extends Current Contract by 3 Years Due to Unplanned Pregnancy

Since switching from Stars Shine International to TVB’s own in house company, The Voice Entertainment Group in 2013, Jinny Ng (吳若希) was promoted to become their leading singer. Taking a one-year hiatus from her singing career, Jinny hopes to rest well until her due date in May. But Ginny has agreed to extend her contract by three years due to the unexpected pregancy.

Since becoming pregnant last year, Jinny caught The Voice Entertainment Group’s CEO, Herman Ho (何哲圖), by surprise.  Originally producing an award-winning song for Jinny, Herman had to shuffle around the plans in order to accommodate her pregnancy. Unfortunately, the song was eventually given to newcomer Hana Kuk (菊梓喬)who is reportedly being promoted to replace Jinny as the new face for The Voice Entertainment.

However, Herman does not seem to have intentions to drop Jinny any time soon. The 24-year-old singer is set to give birth in May and will return to work once a routine is established with her newborn baby. Jinny has extended her music contract by three years, until 2020.

While taking a break from acting and singing, Jinny gained numerous sponsors from baby clothing brands. As well, many baby product companies began reaching out to the singer with lucrative seven-figure spokesperson contracts. With intentions to make an official come back after her baby turns three-months old, it looks like Jinny’s return will not be short of job offers.

  1. can’t imagine she’s will still ahve market after pregnancy. i always consider her an idol singer, not a real singer, although she’s not the stunningly pretty type.
