Joe Ma Tak Chung has a playboy image and is often plagued by rumors with other women. Earlier, tabloids spotted Joe and a woman entering a high-class restaurant together. Allegedly, Joe and the woman shared a private room within the restaurant.
At approximately 11 PM, the woman left the restaurant and smiled happily. Joe purposely kept his distance from the woman and spoke on the cell phone. Joe then entered a liquor store and the woman followed behind him. The pair may have intentionally kept their distance due to fear of being photographed by the paparazzi.
Appearing at a promotional event, Joe Ma denied “cheating” rumors. Visibly upset by the rumors, Joe said that he did not know who the woman in the photo was. He changed the topic and said the he will be filming a new mainland drama with Gallen Lo Ka Lueng and Kristy Yeung Kung Yu, entitled <春秋祭>. The filming will take two months. Joe also praised the script and the cast in the new series.

Jayne: The “cheating” rumors do seem fabricated in this case, as it is very likely that the press took a photo of a random stranger that Joe was standing next to. However, several years ago, Joe was photographed vacationing in Thailand with his girlfriend. Despite the affair, he apparently reconciled with his wife. It was probably because of Joe’s past that the paparazzi fabricated the current “cheating” rumors.

The picture is very questionable as to whether or not he is cheating. But Joe does give off a “playboy, ” flirtatious vibe whether onscreeen or off. He is tall and handsome, but I don’t know why he seems to just lack the screen presence even as he is cast in lead roles. After all these years, I am still not impressed with his acting. He doesn’t seem to be able to lead a series on his own, and when he does share the lead with other actors, they always outshine him. In Triumph in the Skies, Francis completely took the spotlight, and in Born Rich, even if his character is a likeable one, Gallen just shined so much more than he did. If I was Anita’s character in the series, I too would fall for Gallen’s character.
It would be kind of funny if he was hanging out with his sister, cousin or someone in the family but then got mistakened for cheating…

I agree! Joe is better in small supporting roles but he can’t handle lead or second lead roles although he’s tall and big. TVB promote him because he was good in supporting roles but when he become a leading actor he’s not good anymore even in likeable roles.
What if the lady was a complete stranger and who woke up the next day to find her picture associated with this gossip news.. poor her.. got into this misunderstanding just for standing behind Joe..
