Joey Yung (容祖兒) and Denise Ho’s (何韻詩) good friendship has always been the hot topic of discussion among the public. Due to Joey’s disregard for the rumors, the topic became frequent gossip fodder. Since Joey felt that the rumors did not impact [her career] and that same-sex relationships were very common, there was no need to make a big fuss.
When Joey expressed her views towards same-sex relationships, this created a misunderstanding in her intentions [and sexual preference]. Joey clarified, “When I referred to same-sex relationships, I was not speaking about Denise Ho. What we have is friendship. She is one of my good friends. It does not involve love at all.”
Currently single and possessing traditional views, Joey looked forward to dating and getting married one day. Joey laughed, “When I find the suitable person, I will date and get married. I do not want everyone to misunderstand and scare away my pursuers.” (Did Joey have any suitors currently?) “Of course, there are suitors! However, I have not found the suitable person yet. You cannot rush love matters!”

Jayne: Joey’s initial interview, in which she spoke about acceptance towards same-sex relationships and the importance of Denise Ho, led everyone to believe that she was ready to declare her bisexuality. Apparently, Joey did not intend to make such declarations, but her preferences are still up for interpretation of course.

A poor move on Joey’s behalf. She seemingly came out and the reception thus far has been obvious? The fact that she sang Denise’s gay-themed song in her concert to applause should have hinted the public’s support. Or at least, the support of her fans.
To backtrack like this has effectively buried her relationship (if one exists). If she declares herself to be in a relationship with Denise later, she’d be called a liar.
I think the loser in all this is Denise…Joey needs to make up her mind.
What I mean is, to make up her mind about things she says. Yes, reporters twist things but you have to give them something to work with.
If she’s not in a relationship, she needs to draw a clear line and stop giving these ambiguous responses.
Artists need to decide whether they want to be frank with their relationships or refuse to make comments regarding the matter. Anything in between is annoying.
Not a single female singer has been honest about their love life.
Miriam – never said anything until they caught her married.
Charlene – never said anything until she got divorced.
Gillian – needed naked pictures to admit to a relationship.
Sammi – needed to be caught out.
Doesn’t phase me that people don’t want to talk about their love life, that’s fine. But doesn’t Joey talk about finding suitors all year round?
Lisa I agree the loser in this whole mess of Joey taking a step out and taking two steps back is Denise! It’s stupid and tiring how right after this “indirect admitting, Mani had to tell reporters, Joey was seen witha guy” When means they’re going to find some random guy to get photographed with Joey just to cover up the fact that Joey’s with Denise! Denise being someone strong of course will have to accept this but I can’t help but feel EEG is being too conservative forcing Joey to hide when their relationship is practically an open secret with support from family, friends and DJs!
From what I can see only when Joey gets to the age of Susanna Kwan’s 40+ age will she bravely knowledge her “other half” on stage. Either that or when she finally leaves EEG.

It took her 10yrs to announce Denise Ho is only a “friend”?? If Joey Yung is finally telling the truth then she had everyone fooled all these years! If she is lying/hiding it then I think she is a fool. I’d be PO if I was Denise Ho.
