Karen Mok Considers In-Vitro Fertilization to Fulfill Baby Dreams
After marrying her German husband Johannes three years ago, Karen Mok (莫文蔚) expressed that she had no plans for children due to her busy career. Since she was unable to develop close ties with her husband’s three children from his previous marriage, it is speculated that the 44 year-old actress/singer finally wanted to settle down and have children of her own.
Due to her age, Karen’s baby plans were forced to be implemented in a rushed timeline. At the end of her show in May, she announced that she will be taking a long vacation. She declined appearing on mainland talent show, The Voice of China <中國好聲音>, despite being offered 10 million RMB for her participation as an instructor. Karen was adamant on declining the invitation so she could rest and take care of her body while preparing for motherhood.
When she got married in 2011, Karen said that she is already happy to experience motherhood by being a stepmother. However, Karen was photographed visiting her gynecologist more often lately. While Karen’s waist appeared thicker, which sparked pregnancy speculations, it turns out that Karen was only at the office for a routine check-up.
A close friend disclosed, “Karen is a little worried because she is relatively old now. That’s why she went to see a doctor to ask for an opinion on whether or not it’s safe for in-vitro fertilization.”

The problem with these HK women in the entertainment industry is that they spend all those “prime” years (when they were still fertile)looking for the “perfect/ideal) mate and then they finally realize it’s not gonna happen. By that time they are at middle age and have to settle for marrying a foreigner cause Chinese men don’t want to marry such an old woman knowing that there will be fertility problems………I think she was a bit naïve thinking that she can bond with 3 German kids belonging to someone else………Maybe she is finally waking up now to see that nothing is better than having kids of your own.

If she’s so busy, why have kids? Kids are hard to take care, buy plants or a dog. Don’t have kids Karen, they’ll ruin your schedule even more!!! 😀
I have nothing against this actress but at the time I am not too thrill with her for some reason.
