Kenneth Ma Hides Romance with Jackie X for 11 Months
Kenneth Ma‘s (馬國明) days as TVB’s hottest bachelor ended when his romance with model Jackie Xu (徐佳琦), also known as Jackie X, was exposed last month. Kenneth was spotted driving Jackie home after a dinner date, and the public’s interest in the background of Kenneth’s new girlfriend was stirred.
Although the pair insisted that they were only getting to know each other, sources claim that Kenneth and Jackie have been dating for 11 months. They met in 2012 through a mutual friend and remained in contact, and their romance blossoming last November. With their relationship growing steadily, Kenneth has reportedly introduced Jackie to his family.
Managed by Universal International, Jackie had minor roles in Inferno 3D <逃出生天> and TVB drama ICAC Investigators 2014 <廉政行動2014>. Jackie went to Hong Kong to expand on her career opportunities, but visits her parents in Shanghai every six months.
Jackie’s frugality is compatible with Kenneth’s simple lifestyle. Hoping to save more more money, the 26-year-old is rumored to be living in a subdivided apartment. Jackie said, “The rent is Hong Kong is very expensive, so I’ll rather live in a small space to save more money.” Asked if her working and living conditions are harsh, Jackie quickly answered, “No, not harsh at all because I’m doing work I love.”
Asked about her date with Kenneth two weeks ago, Jackie said, “We were eating out with friends that night. Since dinner ended late, I think it’s very reasonable for a man to drive a woman home at night. When we stopped the car, reporters’ camera lights suddenly started flashing. I don’t know if I should continue to meet him for dinner again!”
When it comes to love, Jackie believes in fate. She also looks for other qualities such as “filial piety, attentiveness, and good behavior”. Jackie complimented that the men she met in Hong Kong have been filial and responsible towards their family.
Due to the gap between their careers and popularity, skeptics wondered if Jackie may be using her date with Kenneth to drum up publicity for herself. Jackie said, “If you are photographed with a more famous male celebrity, people tend to say this in Hong Kong. I’m prepared for people to say this! But should I avoid making friends with more successful people in the future?”

He’s not lying. Kenneth must have his own reasons to hide the girl and most probably because he wants to protect her from being accused of using him to get fame. It’s courtesy and the girl is also a humble type.

Some people are born in wealth and love flaunting it and may attract those who want to be lavished in money and brands too, but some people are born just enough to live and learn the hard way of value of money therefore don’t show their wealth like no tomorrow, and will attract others who are not into wealth and brand names as well 😉
Ma Ming took pictures of his house at least twice for newspaper. Check for the fact before saying. On the other hand, Ma Ming showed the brand and price of his clothes a lot of times, especially in the TVB awards or similar events. Dont show the wealth? Dont have anything to show?
Interestingly, you are the only fan of Ma Ming I have seen so far support his relationship with Jackie X. I have seen some fans gone crazy and a devoted fan (who is very close to Ma Ming) said that Jackie X is a bar girl. Well, I will comment on that because I know nothing about Jackie X but I think she looks sweet and pretty. In my opinion, Ma Ming has a great luck to date her, if the date is true.

You must be quite young and not well verses about the entertainment biz. The famous celebs are sponsored from top to toe for big events. That’s why they need to show off their clothings. It’s a symbiosis relationship between the celebs and their sponsors.
I watched quite enough of TVB awards to know that not all of the celebs have sponsors for their clothes. And not all of them show the public how much the clothes they wear are. Normally, the men only show the price of the accessories they are spokenperson for, of course only when they are asked.
