Kenneth Ma Interested in Buying Another Home

After purchasing a million-dollar luxury home for himself and his family a few month ago, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) has expressed his intentions to put forth another couple thousand to buy another.

The 42-year-old bachelor, who is busy with his new TVB drama The Demon-Conquering Taxi <降魔的>, spent nearly $20 million HKD on a duplex penthouse in Taikoo Shing of Quarry Bay, Hong Kong Island. Kenneth purchase the luxury apartment at a reduced price several months ago.

Currently still under renovations, the Ma family hasn’t moved into their new suite yet. Kenneth said he expects to spent at most $1 million HKD in renovation costs. The frugal actor said, “The renovations don’t need to look grand or rich. In fact, the owner before me already had the garden fixed, so that’s one less thing to spend on!”

Pointing out his diamond bachelor status, reporters joked that Kenneth’s popularity with women would probably increase now that he has a million-dollar home in his hands. Kenneth laughed and said, “No! There are so many people in Hong Kong who are much wealthier than me!” With real estate prices surging, Kenneth said he may considering buying a smaller apartment in Taikoo Shing, investing in real estate
