Kenneth Ma is Anti-Smoking
Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Whitney Hui (許亦妮), Kandy Wong (糖妹), and Bob recently attended a press conference for the anti-smoking campaign Quit to Win <戒煙大贏家> at TVB Studios. Prepping to shoot an upcoming episode for the program, Kenneth, the campaign’s ambassador, wore a thick wig and he was joked for bearing an uncanny resemblance to veteran singer Donald Cheung (張偉文).
Kenneth, who was raised in a smoke-free household, is an anti-smoker himself. Despite Hong Kong’s city-wide ban in smoking, there are still many young adult cigarette smokers, and Kenneth encourages them to work towards quitting. “I would tell them to not smoke as much. Smoking is expensive and unhealthy.”
The TVB star also admitted that he would not want his girlfriend to be a smoker. “She’s going to lose some points. My family and I don’t smoke. Being a non-smoker is a requirement. If she was a smoker and she quits, that’s okay.” Asked if any of his past girlfriends were smokers, Kenneth quickly said, “No!”
Currently wrapping up the production for his latest Qing Dynasty drama The Paintings of Bureaucracy <官場浮世繪>, Kenneth revealed that he will be shooting a new TVB drama in April with Niki Chow (周麗淇). “It’s going to be my first time collaborating with Niki Chow and I am looking forward to working with such a gorgeous lady,” Kenneth added with a laugh.
Whitney Hui Wants to Get Married
2011 Miss Hong Kong second runner-up Whitney Hui attended the Quit to Win press conference dressed as a pregnant woman to warn smokers about the dangers of second-hand smoking. Known for her sexy image, Whitney joked that she is “stuffing” her stomach instead of her cleavage for the press conference.
The 25-year-old actress professed that she would like to have her first child before she turns 30 years old. However, she is against having children before marriage. Asked if she wants a boy or a girl first, she said, “Both! Twins!”
Getting married has always been Whitney’s dream. She said, “Every time I [date], I would always think about getting married and having kids. We date because we share the same philosophy.” Whitney is not afraid of scaring men away with her old-fashioned values. “I will only have kids if [my husband] wants it. I’m okay with adopting too, but honestly I would prefer having biological children.”
Waiting to get cast in a new TVB drama, Whitney revealed that she would like to try out a “girl next door” type of character. She says she does not care about her image, and would not mind taking “ugly” roles.

for smoking that’s not good it is good not to smoke because it is bad for your health of COURSE everyone knows about that

I think Ma Ming can’t find a gf due to other reasons 😛 but perhaps a combo of hairless + non-smoker is the main reason. Must be a combo :P.

I understand what you mean, when you have certain fixed preferences, it does seem harder to go just anyone.
I personally would not want a boyfriend/husband that smokes. Smoking is a big turn off for me. I also would not want to kiss someone who smokes. You wonder how their mouth and breath smells like.
Oh Kenneth, you’re a good looking man but every time I see the same puppy dog pursing lips pictures, I get turned off.
