Kenneth Ma, Myolie Wu, and Kate Tsui at “Season of Love” Costume Fitting
The costume fitting for TVB series, Season of Love <戀愛季節>, took place yesterday. Producer Kwan Wing Chung’s (關永忠) new drama will feature several love relationships in a short story format. The cast includes Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Myolie Wu ( 胡杏兒), Kate Tsui ( 徐子珊), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Vincent Wong (王浩信), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), Him Law (羅仲謙), JJ Jia (賈曉晨), Jess Shum (沈卓盈), Oceane Zhu (朱璇), Nathan Ngai (魏焌皓), William Chak (翟威廉), Jack Hui (許家傑), James Ng (吳業坤), Eric Li (李天翔) and Otto Chan (陳志健).
Kenneth Ma: “My Tongue is Long!”
Kenneth Ma and Myolie Wu will portray a couple in Season of Love. Kenneth joked that he has waited 7 years to partner with Myolie again since To Grow With Love <肥田囍事>. Myolie said, “I will allow him (Kenneth) the opportunity to touch my hand!”
Asked whether Myolie had to seek boyfriend, Bosco Wong’s (黃宗澤) permission to film kissing scenes, she replied, “No, we are professional actors!”
Kenneth teased that he will request kissing scenes to be added. Asked whether he was afraid that Myolie will discover his “shortages,” he said, “My tongue is very long. I do not have any shortages, except for my hair!” Myolie appeared embarrassed by Kenneth’s joke, which referenced Bosco’s short tongue, as it was revealed at the 2011 TVB Anniversary Gala.
Kenneth’s ex-girlfriend, Nancy Wu, will portray a couple with Oscar Leung in Season of Love.
Kate Tsui: “Eye Doctor Is a Friend!”
Eye doctor, Marvin Tse, was photographed at Kate Tsui’s residence last week. Allegedly, Dr. Tse had stayed at Kate’s home for 4 days and 3 nights. At the costume fitting yesterday, Kate indicated that she was only friends with Dr. Tse. Asked whether Dr. Tse already had a family, she dodged further questions.
William Chak Given Warning by Virginia Lok
Wealthy businessman, Lau Ding Sing (劉定成), had photographed numerous topless photos of former Mr. Hong Kong participants. It turned out that 2010 Mr. Hong Kong winner, William Chak had attended a party organized by Mr. Lau, inviting the former participants.
William knew Mr. Lau’s godson, Hanson, who was his soccer friend. William also took some photos with Mr. Lau at the party. In a radio interview with Eileen Cha (查小欣), William said that he did not feel that he had done anything wrong. William did not know of Mr. Lau’s fetish of taking photographs of muscular men at the time.
William was unable to attend the costume fitting for Season of Fate, since he had to meet with TVB executive, Virginia Lok (樂易玲), regarding his attendance of Mr. Lau’s party. TVB Deputy Director of External Affairs, Tsang Sing Ming (曾醒明) revealed, “Ms. Lok emphasized to William to cherish his image. William also promised to work hard. He rarely saw Hanson and Mr. Lau now.”
Him Law Maintains Silence
Embroiled in Lau Ding Sing’s, photo scandal of muscular men, Him Law maintained his silence over the matter at the costume fitting of Season of Love.
TVB was careful to protect the images of their artists and draw clear boundaries from Mr. Lau. The 62-year-old was convicted of indecent assault and intimidation of 3 male actors and 1 fitness trainer. The sentence for the court case was still pending.

TVB does not seem to mind Him Law’s negative rumors, as he is featured in series after series.
Can’t wait to see Ron and Kate pairing again. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of them not like what Kate said. They just act so much like a real life couple, it doesn’t feel like acting. (did that even make sense)

Agree with you that it’s refreshing to see Kenneth and Myolie pairing even the couple have been paired 7 years ago. And hopefully tvb would pair Kenneth with Linda soon, another refreshing pairing.
I think with Myolie around, the series will become even more hilarious and active with her sunny attitude. Kate is looking pretty up there, seen her kose’s photos, she looks dashing.

TVB seems to favor the ensemble casting recently, by featuring popular artists together in a series, such as “Justice Attack” and “Season of Love.”
Although TVB dramas in which short stories featuring love relationships have not been that interesting in the past. “Only You” was a feel-good series, while “4 in Love” may be more controversial. I’ll like to see a more serious approach to the the trials and tribulations of love, along the lines of China’s “Naked Marriage.”

it was good, i stayed at the POD hotel in NYC, Manhattan. It was a budget hotel with good facilities. I didn’t visit the bronx though during my visit xD

Yeah, NYC is a nice place to visit esp the broadway,times square, wall street, empire state and etc. I didnt have much time to visit all and ppl there are friendly so it was all good :D. Some of the foods there were quite costly though until I have to starved from having lunches so I could spend it on shopping! hehe

Food can be expensive. But Asian options abound, which could have helped you save money. Lunch in midtown averages $8 to $10 for takeout. Glad you enjoyed the trip!

I wonder what will be the format of ‘Season of Love’. Will it be like ‘The Threat of Love’ where the same actors played different characters in the multiple short stories, or like ‘Dropping By Cloud Nine’ where the actors only appear in one story, so that different actors play in different stories.

Anyway you slice it, “Season of Love’s” main drawing power are the stars. I’ll rather they film a short story collection based on a more exciting theme, such as mysteries of the unknown, supernatural, unsolved mysteries, etc. It would be much more exciting than just a love story collection.
Kenneth and Linda Chung suits in personality. They’re both decent and jade image persons.
Kenneth and Kate is also an interesting pairing. They worked in several series together in the past, but I’ll like to see them together again.

Wow!! Yes i love Kenneth and Kate. I loved them both in Speech of Silence. One of my favorite TVB series of all time. What other series were they in together? I know they were in Men in charge, The four and speech of silence. Anymore? 😀

JJ Jia again? I know TVB is going to make her a fa dan but her acting is horrible! And her voice… her scenes in H&V was so hard to watch cos it was so unnatural.
It’s not like TVB has better options. Since the company is lacking actors and actresses, it’s time to groom supporting artists to lead.
I love JJ because she’s beautiful but totally agree, her acting is horrible and i cant’ stand her in H&V.
If her acting is not good never mind. What is important is how she makes her audience salivate!!! Her smiles are simply irresistible and can’t imagine how shock she can be if she provocatively swings her body or move her backside..

I do agree that Katy Kung and JJ resemble each other. Both are pretty girls but Katy wins in the acting vote, hands down.

I totally agree with you sandcherry! It’s a total demotion for Nancy to be paired up with Oscar. She is on a different caliber than him…. It’s almost insulting to her. She should be paired up with Vincent Wong instead as they make a better couple.

I don’t see how Oscar is a demotion for Nancy. It’s not like Nancy is first line actress with many leading roles. She’s still a supporting actress. Oscar also played a lot of big roles recently and his acting is good. To me, Nancy and Oscar is similar level. Oscar and Vincent is also in the same level, only that Vincent is better looking.
I don’t like this demotion complain. First, Linda fans complained about her pairing with Jason as demotion, and now Nancy fans said similar. I see this only as fresh pairing.
I wonder why fans of Kevin Cheng and Wayne Lai never complain that them pairing with Natalie Tong, Selena Li and Nancy Wu as a demotion. Only fans of actresses will complain so.
@Kidd, agree with you. Nancy and Oscar is on the same level of the “supporting role”, although Nancy’s acting is better than Oscar, it’s definitely NOT a demotion for her.
I like both of them equally, and this pairing is fresh, but they are not that matchy…. lol. Hope Nancy and Vincent will be together at the end.

Did you learn about the actual storyline? I don’t mind to have Vincent Wong to be Nancy Wu’s partner. Vincent is a good looking guy and he always portrayed some decent characters (though as a support actor).
I disagree with Kidd and DC. Nancy Wu’s acting is way better than Oscar’s, and she is quite pretty, too. If TVB wants to promote her to act 1st lead roles, they should pair her up with some 1st line or almost 1st line actor, like what they did for Jason Chan (paired up with Linda Chung).
Wayne Lai and Kevin Cheng are well-established actors; they are TV Kings. Of course, they don’t care. They are there to help promote some young actresses (such as Natalie Tong and Selena Li). If Natalie Tong can pair up with Wayne Lai (a 2-time TV King), why can’t Nancy Wu do same? Nancy Wu’s acting is way better than Natalie Tong’s and her acting is well-rounded. In other words, TVB does not want to promote Nancy Wu at all no matter how good her acting is and how hard she works. They want to keep her as a strong support actress.

As for Him Law, TVB wants to promote him. If they can overlook the “violent abuser” aspect, they can certainly overlook the “nude model for gay man” aspect since for the latter, I do believe they can justify it for him.
