Earlier, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) was shooting an advertisement for a bank. Director Fruit Chan (陳果) requested that Kevin appear in a cool image and even provided “Chok” props for the filming. Portraying “Law Ba” in Ghetto Justice <怒火街頭>, Kevin acted uncouthly in the commercial instead. Kevin ended up breaking several props in the process, which was quite humorous! In the commercial, Kevin urged customers to take advantage of low-interest rate loans to buy property, completing their life plans of marriage and having children.
With his upcoming birthday in Augus, Kevin joked that he was no longer young. “I have to plan for myself and prepare for the second life stage. However, it is difficult to force one’s romantic destiny. In the near-future, I have to focus on my career. I cannot accept any typical woman!”
Indicating that he was currently filming a mainland drama in Hengdian, Kevin was also busy in promoting series and films. In September, he will be holding a concert in Canada. Afterwards, Kevin will film Ghetto Justice 2 <怒火街頭2>and extremely busy.

LOL I wonder how humorous the commercial is. Kevin isn’t getting any younger so I sure hope that he’ll be able to find the woman of his life soon. Although I hope it’d be SOON but let’s leave it up to fate. =)

I quite agree with Jim’s and Kaytie’s comments. Yes, Kevin will be 42 in 2 weeks’ time which relentless goes by so quickly. ‘Ghetto Justice’ certainly seems a great breakthrough for him and he must, by all means, do his best to be acknowledged as one of the top actors in the industry. Too long has he been rightfully or otherwise criticized for his acting and I hope that that will be history after ‘Ghetto’. Keep it up, Kevin!
@P.Tan, Law Ba’s character is a major breakthrough for him out of all of his roles. This character leaves a great impression on audience even myself! I hope he gets nominated for TVB’s Best Actor Award this year. I think Ruco Chan has a good chance to win as well. I like the both of them so if either one of them wins I’ll be happy for the both of them. =D
I have to agree with all comments that Law Ba’s character is a MAJOR breakthrough for Kevin. I’m certain that he will get an award this year. 620 loves him and now audience love him too so 620 can reward him without complaining noise.

I don’t think he can necessarily find a natural beauty in mainland since many of them have had something done, even the normal citizens that have money. But anyways, lets hope that he finds someone later on because he even for a guy, he is getting too old. If he is too picky, then he may even end up being single for life.

I don’t think Kevin has to be worried about being single for life. He’s in his early 40s, which may or may not be old. For someone inside the industry, it’s not “too old.” Although he does show some wrinkles in his eyes, I’m pretty sure he still has market.

Re Kevin and his not wanting “any woman”, I do agree whole heartedly with him. Desperate as he is to want to be married he still has got to wait for the right woman,” so to speak or the marriage could turn out to be disasterous in the end.
