Kevin Cheng and Ruco Chan Face Off in “Eye in the Sky”
Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) filmed an intense face-off scene in Tuen Mun for TVB’s new crime thriller, Eye in the Sky <天眼> yesterday. Both men held a gun in their hands and appeared to be caught in a fiery dispute. Portraying the ultimate villain in the series, Ruco appeared on set with red eye makeup to give the impression that his character had several sleepless nights.
The scene spoke of Ruco’s character holding a group of people on a tour bus hostage. Although the atmosphere was intense, Ruco and Kevin immediately relaxed when the camera stopped rolling and made funny faces to pull out of their characters. Kevin announced that the series will likely complete filming by the end of this month.
Despite an earlier foot injury, Kevin shared that many of his action scenes were not affected. However, he had to be extremely careful and has even stopped playing his favorite sport, tennis. In August, another series is already waiting for Kevin. With a full-packed schedule coming up, there will be no breaks ahead for him.
Kevin and Ruco Laugh at Tavia Yeung’s Marriage Rumors
Eye in the Sky costar, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), was recently rumored to be purchasing a luxurious flat in preparation to marry her boyfriend Him Law (羅仲謙) next year. Kevin laughed and said that Tavia has only told him she is interested in making investments. When asked if he has heard about any marriage news, Kevin replied, “No, I haven’t! But Tavia is always a very cheerful person.”
Ruco, who was nearby, also laughed and added that purchasing a new home and getting married are happy events. He joked, “Why don’t you guys congratulate me first? I want to buy a house and get married before she does! I’m waiting to win the lottery.”
Lin Xiawei Supports Raymond Lam
Although she was not involved in the scene, Lin Xiawei (林夏薇) visited Ruco and Kevin on set to watch their skilled acting. A recent tabloid claimed that her cousin, Raymond Lam (林峯), has refused to renew his TVB management contract and is leaving the company. In response to the news, Xiawei revealed she is unsure of her cousin’s exact plans, but will support his decision.

I sometimes surprise that Ruco has different looks in different angles. He looks old in some series (specially when he just returned to TVB) but looks too young, cute and innocent (even in evil role) recently. Can’t wait to see Ruco’s drama or rather watch his old drama.

Both! Doubt it though. Probably Ruco will die since he’s the baddy. He’s so handsome and is a decent actor so I’ll be rooting for his char! Heh.
Perhaps neither would die? I hate it when they kill off a character simply cos they are the ‘baddie’. Unless their characters really deserve to die bcos audiences may flip tables and smash their tv is the char doesnt die, i dont think its necessary to kill them off bcos they are the ‘evil’ one..

Ah, I like the fact that Ruco plays a badass villain instead of always the nice hero like many of populair actors do to maintain their clean image.
Maybe it’s just the lightning, but the photo’s above do not look like they’re from one particular scene.

I love the way Kevin hold the gun and his face expression; if the above picture is an intense faced-off scene between Kevin and Ruco then Kevin’s acting is much better than Ruco’s; the way Ruco holds gun and his face expression looks like a model for someone taking a picture.
I like Ruco more than Kevin, Kevin is good looking, but Ruco is more “MAN” and sharp than Kevin in the fighting role.
Ruco’s the man for me too! I’ve no doubts about his acting abilities and he surely rocks those action scenes with his superb fitness level.
I like Ruco’s action scenes very much. He is so fit and energetic. During the recent live concert, he jumped down to shake hands with fans and then jumped up the stage with those agile movements; oh dear, at the same time singing without affecting the singing quality.
I prefer Ruco’s acting. He used to express his emotions by his eyes instead of twisting his facial muscles. But we can’t see his minute expressions without a close up. Remember he changed his eyesights in seconds in some scenes in OL.
Not only his eyes, his eye brows, nose and fingers can act also. Talented actor and a STAR!

Love those actions Ruco did by himself in ROE and BK. Also love his acting. For me, Ruco is “best of the best” actor in TBB 🙂 . Even he will play baddy, I am sure I will still love this lovely baddy Power Cheng.

It doesn’t matter whether “TBB” would “give” him the reward. In my heart and soul, Ruco has already been the acting prince/king. Frankly speaking, the script of ROE is not that good, but I love this series very much just because of Carson/Ruco. He is the main spotlight and attraction to me. Hope his other series can be aired this year. I miss him deadly.
Can’t agree more! Ruco is the soul in all series which he’s male lead. Heartily speaking, he deserves b/a award. He’s a good actor and a STAR as well. Hope tbb teasures him and give him decent roles and that will benefit viewers and ratings-he does have great drawing power.
It’s funny Kevin looks rather gaunt in this pic. Saw some earlier pics of this same series which he looked better. But nonetheless he is still so cool and I hope there will be lots of bloodshed in this drama!!

Haha, I personally think that Ruco is both cute and a better actor from their previous encounters in “Burning Flame III” and “Only You”.
ummmm, i don’t want to bash Kevin who so generously spoke up for Ruco which i didn’t expect from him. I do find Ruco cuter and a better actor but let’s just accept that people have different taste. I don’t mind Kevin but since Ruco came on the scene, he’s stolen my heart completely.

Yes, Happy to learn that All That is Bitter is Sweet will be shown in September. I am very excited to see lovely “One Dollar Man”. Then there only left with Eye in the Sky. Will Ruco please please shoot more and more drama. Can’t see enough of Ruco Babe. More and more stock and also mini concert please.

Ruco’s name in All That is Bitter is Sweet (大藥坊) is “丁一元” and “一元” in Chinese means “one dollar”.
Hope that he could receive best actor or at least favourite actor award this year even though he is already our best actor. Yes, I agree that more series, MV, CD, anything with Ruco would be great.

Yes, I guess he must have got the permission of the yacht owner before he released the pictures on his Weibo. A big slap to the rubbish Next Media. He looks young without glasses in another picture he took with a little boy, a son of his friend; both are cute/lovely. Little boy’s father in his Weibo said that Ruco and his son were born on the same month and same day and wondered if his son will be grown up as handsome as Ruco 🙂
