Lai Lok-yi is Going to Be a Father!

Come Home Love <愛·回家> star Lai Lok-yi (黎諾懿) is going to be a father! On November 11, Lok-yi’s second wedding anniversary with wife Nicole Lee (李潔瑩), he announced through social media that his wife is four months pregnant with their first child, a boy.

In a hilarious short video Lok-yi shared on Weibo, he showed off his baby’s sonogram from the screen of his TV, and said, “This is not a submarine. It is our precious crystal. It is a boy!”

Lok-yi, who was in Macau with his wife, confirmed the news again in a later phone interview. “My wife is around 17 weeks pregnant. She didn’t know about it until she missed her period, and went to the doctor for a check up.”

Despite experiencing the occasional nausea and sickness, Lok-yi said Nicole has been eating well. “She’s eating beef again, and she’s eating about every two to three hours. But she could never finish her meals, so I have to eat her leftovers. This is why I’ve gotten fatter.”

Nicole will be delivering in April.

“We’ve been trying and we originally wanted a monkey baby,” said Lok-yi. “This is a gift from God. A rooster baby is good too. I also want to have a daughter, but I’ll let my wife decide.”

Lok-yi has just finished the filming of TVB drama, My Unfair Lady <不懂撒嬌的女人>. He will start shooting a new period drama in December.
