Appearing at a promotional event with Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) responded to questions regarding good friend, Shirley Yeung’s (楊思琦) break-up with Gregory Lee (李泳豪) and her alleged pregnancy with her new love interest. Since Shirley was a close friend, Linda indicated that she sent a text message to ask how she was doing.
Asked whether Shirley asked for a break-up due to her pregnancy, Linda’s expression appeared awkward. Thinking for a long time, Linda responded, “I do not know. Recently, I have been busy filming and it has been a while since we sat down to talk. We did meet two weeks ago to have a quick meal together.” Linda noted that Shirley did not mention the break-up at the time.
Allegedly, Shirley took a nine-month leave of absence due to her pregnancy. Linda was uncertain whether Shirley was truly pregnant or not. Linda said, “It is already very sad to lose a relationship. It is difficult to say who is right or wrong in a relationship. The truth can only be known among the two of them! Taking a vacation does not necessarily mean that she is pregnant! Perhaps she wanted to take time off to calm down. Or perhaps she may want to resume her studies.”

I don’t see how Linda is fake.. I would say that she knows what to tell to the public and what not, in other words, a “truth hider”… so I wouldn’t say that’s fake… as a artiste they should know what should be appropriate to say

On Topic : I heard of LInda’s interview on a radio before, she’s a soft spoken and educated person who rarely say bad things about others. If her relationship with Shirley was really so closed as described by the media. I doubt she’ll leak the truth to the media! In the other hand, Gregory already told the media Shirley uses her pregnancy as the excuse of the breakup.. just why the media has to check with Linda if Shirley is truly preggy or not? unless they have doubt with Gregory’s statement.
Hong Kong media habit – When a “scandal” happened, ask as many other related or unrelated person as possible to “cook” the scandal even longer.

Readers like a continuation of a story, such as Nic and Cecilia’s divorce, which has been front page news for a month.
The same thing with Shirley’s story. The paparazzi will not give this one up until they have some hard evidence on her pregnancy, or until Augustine Lee and Lee Ka Ding stops cursing Shirley. Reporters have it easy; all they have to do is call up Lee Ka Ding and he rants off in his usual colorful, uncensored style, which can make very juicy gossip fodder. Mr. Lee does love his son, so hopefully his strong character will rub off on Gregory too.

BTW, my friend said that she saw Linda got out of TVB City in Shirley’s car last week (3 days before the incident of Shirley). It also makes me think that Linda knew more but dun willing to share to the reporters. Good for her and also for Shirley.
Hmm… I’m not a fan of what Linda wore in the function. However, glad that she gained a bit weight. She looks prettier than last year when she is totally a skeleton.
I agree that Linda knows more than she’s letting on. She is good friends with Shirley but her answer is a good one. 620 should learn from her. I’m hoping that if everything about Shirley’s character is true that Linda sees through that and friend-break-up with her.

Well… think about it, what is the purpose of Linda lying if Shirley already mentioned she and greg broke up months ago. If Linda tells the public she is aware of the breakup.. I think she would save Shirley’s ass cuz that will prove Shirley is not lying. sooo.. I don’t think Linda needed to lie about it which means she probably did not even know. But I guess even if she did she wouldn’t tell the public, cuz that will just make the reporters questioning her about everything related to this issue since she “seems to know so much”
I’m pretty sure Shirley is lying, because every single person of Gregory’s family was not even a bit aware of a breakup. Gregory is crying like a baby right now ever since the Shirley announced the breakup to the media.. if they broke up awhile ago then Gregory must have kept it to himself pretty well, but I doubt they even broke up earlier.

Ahhh don’t drag Linda into this. She is not in this scandal, she is under no obligation to answer or take sides. It is none of her business.
Like it or not it’s the reports that start to drag Linda in because she’s Shirley’s best friend as well as a celebrity herself.

I’m sure Linda knows more than she is sharing with the media, but I think she handled it pretty tactfully. It shows her as pretty neutral in this situation. She’s not offending anyone, neither is she betraying her friend by revealing too much. It’s pretty understandable. Actually if she did reveal everything to the media, I would actually see her a not trustworthy friend and unprofessional. Afterall, it’s Shirley and Gregory’s business, not hers. I think at this point, it’s useless to hear from other people because only Shirley, Gregory and Andy know the real truth.
This is not really her business, so it is better that she not reveal or say anything that has not been said yet. I don’t think she wants to get dragged into this mess or be responsible for anything…
Have you noticed on the HK Yahoo clip that Linda did not look at the reporters when they question her about Shirley? She has absolutely no eye-contact with the reporters, her eyes were downcast most of the time. She knows more than she lets on. Kudos to her for not appearing ruffle through out the interview.

Taking a 9 month break does not necessarily mean someone’s pregnant. Just because pregnancy takes 9 months doesn’t mean Shirley will be back within 2 months from giving birth since they claim she’s 2 months pregnant….
I also have to agree that Linda knows a lot more than what she is willing to reveal. Especially when they’re good friends. But with both being in the entertainment industry it’s much better for her not to be involved in someone else’s relationship problems.
