Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) announced yesterday that she has joined Star Shine International, hoping to release a music album next year as a creative singer. Asked whether rumored boyfriend, Raymond Lam (林峯), served as her inspiration, Linda stated that they were only onscreen lovers. There were numerous moving scenes from their onscreen collaborations and she will incorporate those romantic feelings into her new songs!
Appearing in a white Christmas outfit yesterday, it was announced that she had officially joined Star Shine International. At the event were Star Music’s boss, Herman Ho (何哲圖), TVB executive, Virginia Lok (樂易玲), and music producer, Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉). Artists under Star Shine International’s music management, Joyce Cheng (鄭欣宜), Fala Chen (陳法拉), Alfred Hui (許廷鏗), and Famma recorded congratulatory video clips to welcome Linda in joining the company. However, rumored boyfriend, Raymond Lam, did not have any noticeable actions.
Regarding her new music contract, Linda said, “It is a very warm feeling to join this big family. Two of my earlier music albums were produced by Herman Ho and thus, we have established a tacit understanding. I followed him to the new music company so we can continue to cooperate.”

Herman revealed that Linda’s new music album will be released in November 2012. As a result, Linda will not be attending any music awards programs this year. Linda expressed the desire to work slowly to focus on fine-tuning the details. She will incorporate her own creativity into the music production. “If suitable, I can also write for other singers. I have written a lot already and will write down the [lyrics] whenever there is inspiration.”
Asked whether Raymond Lam was part of her inspiration, Linda said “Regarding Raymond Lam, I will have to borrow the scenes from our television series. In the series, there were many unforgettable images that I can write about!” (Will you dedicate the song to anyone?) “That is a very private matter. I will put my emotions into writing [the lyrics], but I will not reveal the person’s specific identity!”

Joyce and Alfred are the good singers from this company. Linda will never be as good as Joyce.
She needs vocal training, just like Joyce.
I never thought Joyce could sing, but she has improved a lot since her debut and that’s all because of she’s had training.
Alfred has a pretty face and a boring vocal. He can sing but it doesn’t mean he is a good singer. However, the face saved him. Aston Lam has better voice.
The voice ppl, still think Mag Lam is the best in technique.
I don’t think Alfred is good looking at all, but he has a recognizable voice.
Regarding the contestants of the two seasons, Hubert Wu is the best one. If not, TVB wouldn’t pick him to represent HK in two singing contests. He was the winner of one and came 2nd runner up in the second. Mag Lam knows how to scream, and that is not singing.
Alfred’s voice improved a lot in his album, compare to the The Voice time. However, he still has a boring voice.
I’m one of who think Mag can sing, and the live performance of Mag proved me right. But her voice, yes, like you say, she likes to scream and show the high notes too much. Hubert has quite good voice but he isn’t special enough. Mag has something more special.
I think Gin Lee(the person who challenge mag in the voice), Mag, Joyce, and JW have poential to lead the Hong Kong music industry.
Mag? The young girl who lead the singers at the anniversary show? Yes she can sing but she should steer away from English until she learns the importance that singing is more than just high and low notes but properly singing the words. I can’t understand a single word she was singing.

there are many singers in hk that are so bad that i wonder how they became singers. guess the hurdle is not high either you need looks or connections, real talent are not required for sure!

I can never understand Twins got famous and still in business. They can’t sing, they can’t dance, they certainly can’t act, and one can’t even manage her divorce properly whilst the other can’t even take proper pictures. And yet here they are, torturing us, especially in interviews with their EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this and EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH that. I can’t understand. Why? Because they’re pretty? Well they’re which says a lot about HK entertainment scene isn’t it. Looks sell, but talent takes decade to be discovered. No wonder there is a talent drain.

Yes, and they can’t talk either. They look and sound like unintelligent 15yo. After 10+ yrs in the industry, they are still awkward and stiff on stage… still “trying and improving”. Unbelievable!
What they do have is a cute face and luck. A lot of luck.
I remember someone here mentioned before that TWINS got so famous was due to their luck and timing not because of their talents…

I guess I’m the only one who thinks Linda can sing. lol. She doesn’t have the most dynamic voice but I think she has a really nice tone. Also, that’s pretty good that she can write her own songs.
Actually she said that she didn’t write itbut only mumbles the melody she thinks of then give it to the real composers to make songs for her. So in fact all the songs she said she composed will have a co-composer which is a real musical. The lyricist has never been her, too.
So one wonders how much credit to be given to her. I just wish she doesn’t sing and concentrate on acting.

It still takes some talent to mumble a melody, since it shows that she’s at least trying to make her own music.

I dun have a problem with Linda’s studio singing, not the best not the worst. Her live singing needs to be improved but not the best not the worst, too. For her music, I like the old MVs she has. The new You wait for me (I dun rmb it) I don’t like.
Linda played the piano. She is up to either grade 5 or grade 6.

Linda has improved lots as an actress since her debut but she is still terrible as a singer, especially when singing live. Her voice is too weak and breathy.

Linda can’t sing. It’s sad to see these days you can’t seem to find a singer that can really sing. You know some singers like francis yip, anita mui they can sing without short of breath. the younger generations dont seem to know the technique to sing
