Linda Chung to Cook Christmas Meal for Philip Ng
With the upcoming Christmas holidays, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) will likely be busy working. However, if she has time off, Linda would like to get together with friends and perhaps cook a meal for them. Linda’s friends and rumored boyfriend, Philip Ng (伍允龍), are in for a treat to taste Linda’s good cooking skills!
Linda Chung and Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) appeared at a Christmas promotional event at the Ma On Shan shopping mall yesterday. Known for her thrifty nature, Linda said that her ideal Christmas present is a halogen cooker, which can function as a rice cooker, grill, oven, and even toaster. Linda bragged that her culinary skills are comparable to chefs from fine-dining restaurants.
Linda however, denied that her cooking has anything to do with cooking frequently for rumored boyfriend, Philip Ng, although she would not mind asking him to test her dishes. “In fact, I need to find many guinea pigs (to test my dishes). But if I’m working on Christmas, then we have to order pizza.”
Anniversary Awards
Currently filming cross-millennium drama, Big Wheel <巨輪>, Linda will appear onscreen as a 40-year old woman. In the show, she will not be using elaborate makeup to make herself look older. Instead, she will be using her acting skills to give the impression of an older woman.
Linda does not expect to win the Best Actress award at the 45th TVB Anniversary Awards, although she is nominated for Witness Insecurity <護花危情>. Perhaps TVB knew it too and compensated her with the music award at a recent Music Awards ceremony, although Fala Chen (陳法拉) did not receive any music awards.
The TVB Anniversary Awards has been heavily sponsored by diamond jewelers in recent years, with actresses wearing increasingly plunging necklines to showcase the sparkling jewels. However, Linda personally desires to dress more conservatively, even covering her neck and feet to avoid any accidental exposure.
Aimee Chan is a Self-Confessed Romantic
Appearing at the same mall event as Linda, Aimee Chan has been facing the onslaught of public criticism since she was nominated in the Best Actress category for the Anniversary Awards. Aimee remained calm and did not take netizens’ attacks personally, as she does not mind if she wins an award or not and looked forward to the challenge of portraying different roles.
Asked what Aimee would like to receive from boyfriend, Moses Chan (陳豪) for Christmas, she said, “I like gifts with a lot of thought put into them. I love flowers too.” She does not know what to give Moses, who in Aimee’s mind already has everything.

I think it has always been harder to shop for a man than for a woman. Especially an older person who has already acquired many possessions.
I agree with Aimee that a gift that comes from the heart is best. Now I prefer gifts that commemorate the occasion with an activity, such as seeing a theater show together or eating out as opposed to a physical gift (which can be impersonal).

I don’t think she’s simple, she couldn’t climb up to the top if she is but as long as she’s nice to everyone, she’s likeable.
I dont meant she’s simple “minded” but someone who maintain in the safe zone like simple jade girl. I like Linda too since she doesn’t has many bad rumors etc. its just that I feel being an artist has to have more image rather than being Jade always, it make ppl bored looking at the same style imo.

Somehow, girl friends usually like to cook somthing for their boy friends and very few have good results. However, this idea is romantic and sweet to show they care, I suppose, and most likely if asked, ” How was it? Did you like it?”, the answer often is a lie, “It was delicious ( although quite the opposite)and I like it.” That’s sweet and thoughtful. Linda is such a sweet girl and I’m sure her boy friend would do anything to make her happy.
i think don’t need to waste time, have money just go to a restaurant, ahopping and cooking takes up the whole day, have time better to rest, leave the cooking to the chefs unless cooking is Linda’s hobby, by the way, is she dreaming of settling down? modern woman are working even sfter marriage and that should be the way, nowadays men find wives who are earning more than them an asset

It may not be wasting time but something she probably enjoy doing. Additionally, it is generally more healthy and she can Linda and the guests can enjoy the meal at their leisure without the paparazzi intruding on their meal!
for me, I like to clean up and wash the dishes I shakes to the music instead of cooking 🙂

I find people are very strange and prejudiced. They don’t accept that there are some good and genuine artistes in the entertainment industries. If they like those artistes, they will do their best to support or defend them no matter the artistes are right or not. If they don’t like those artistes, they will give every reason to “attack” them.
Probably that is what we can IDOL fans.
