Mandy Wong Says Myolie Wu is Ready to Be a Mother

Ben Wong (黃智賢), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), C-Kwan (C君), Jaqueline Wong (黃心穎), Geoffrey Wong (黃子雄), and more attended the costume fitting press conference for TVB’s upcoming police comedy Miscellaneous Cops <雜警奇兵>. The show is produced by new producer Ng Koon-yu (吳冠宇), who most recently directed Law dis-Order <律政強人>.

Miscellaneous Cops will be about a band of unassuming police officers who come together to fight crime. Mandy Wong will be playing a pregnant woman in the first part of the show, and will be chasing criminals while being six months pregnant.

“I’m wearing two fake bellies, so it looks like I’m at least six months pregnant,” said Mandy. “It feels heavy, but it’s not too tiring. It actually feels warm. I’ll be chasing criminals and cars while I’m pregnant.” (Does playing a mother want to make you have kids in real life?) “It actually makes me realize how difficult it is to be a mother. A real pregnant belly will be much heavier!”

Her close friend Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), who recently celebrated her 37th birthday, admitted that she wants to be a mother. Asking if she’s already pregnant, Mandy said, “Nope. Though she is ready to be a mother at any time, she needs to finish her jobs at hand first. We’ve already told her to lessen the workload so she can have time for a baby!”

Mandy wasn’t around when Myolie held her 37th birthday last weekend. Mandy said, “I was sick in the hospital. Hopefully we’ll have another party for November babies!”
