Mandy Wong’s Maternal Instincts Kick in After “Daddy Dearest”

Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Jason Chan (陳智燊), Johnson Lee (李思捷), and Alice Chan (陳煒)  attended a promotional event for their newest family comedy, Daddy Dearest <超能老豆>, spending the entire afternoon playing games with children.

Having to work with children throughout the series, it was not surprising when Mandy admitted that she developed baby fever afterwards. Hoping to have children after getting married in the future, Mandy revealed, “After filming, I felt my maternal instincts kicking in. Although I suddenly wanted children, I know I have to wait for the right moment. I won’t be a Tiger Mom; I’ll give them more space and treat them as a white sheet of paper to begin with. I don’t have plans right now, but I’m very traditional and I hope to have one or two children in the future. Because I’m traditional, I prefer getting married before having children.”

When reporters questioned when it would be her turn to tie the knot next, Mandy laughed, “I don’t know but if anything, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) should be first.”

In the series, Mandy plays a teacher at a learning center who comes across Johnson and his neglected son. Although Mandy and Johnson are initially on disagreeable terms, the pair works together after surring setbacks in their respective careers.
