Michael Miu Celebrates 59th Birthday with Bosco Wong and Ron Ng

It was a testosterone-filled birthday for the suave Michael Miu (苗僑偉), who turned 59 years on June 18, coinciding with Father’s Day. On Saturday night, while shooting a scene for Shaw Brothers’ web drama Flying Tiger <飛虎極戰>, Michael’s costars including Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Eddie Cheung (張兆輝), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), and more surprised him with a birthday party. The crew came out with a birthday song once the clock had struck 12 at midnight.

Shaw Brothers executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲), who also produces the show, presented Michael with a birthday cake that read “handsome to the edge of the earth”. Michael’s wife Jaime Chik (戚美珍) surprised her husband with a bouquet of flowers, while his good pals Bosco and Ron gave him a much-anticipated birthday kiss!

In regards to his birthday wish, he said, “I hope everything goes by smoothly, and everyone stays healthy! Happiness for everyone.” (Surprised?) “Thank you Miss Lok and the crew for their  caring arrangements!”

Commenting that Michael’s friendly nature allows him the joys of having multiple birthday celebrations, the veteran actor laughed and said, “Not necessarily! I’m going to be working a lot! There are many good brothers here tonight, so this will be the birthday party! It’s been such a joy working with them all. We’re partying at work!”

Michael’s costars also used this opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day with their favorite father figure in the business. Oscar said, “Happy birthday Michael! Wish he will continue to stay in good health and enjoy the life he’s living. He is a model father in this industry, and he’s always been my role model.”

    1. @happybi he does looks great for his age but I think his wife age a little maybe because she gained a little weight? I didn’t know Ron and Bosco are his good buddy.

      1. @cutie777 Think she still looks great. She did give birth to 2 kids .. I know it’s a long time ago but it’s hard to really get back in shape with kids and when one is older.

      2. @happybi I don’t know about this but I know some ladies after they’ve given birth they’re still stay the same way I would say they’re lucky that’s all.

      3. @cutie777 that is true.. some people are just lucky.. I’m not one of them.. ehhehe still carrying the “baby” weight.. oh well!

      4. @cutie777 @happybi Jamie is still as beautiful as ever! Sure, she gained some weight, but that’s expected after 2 kids, plus she’s no longer part of the industry so it’s not like she has to keep up her figure. And Michael definitely gets more handsome the older he gets (though I would say this is true for many of the 80s artists I grew up watching). At the end of the day though, the important thing is that Michael and Jamie are healthy, happy, and have a loving family. Speaking of which, I’m reminded once again how time flies – their kids Phoebe and Max are already in their mid-20s! Anyway, happy belated birthday to Michael!

I wouldn’t say Jaime is still as beautiful as ever! Jaime was very pretty back in the ’80s, especially the mid 80’s. I even liked her more than Idy Chan, Angie Chiu, and Carina Lau. She still looks good for her age now but not that beautiful.

      6. @happybi she hasn’t changed much. for women in their late 40s and 50s, metabolism slows down and even if they don’t eat much, weight gain is still unavoidable. what is important is to age gracefully.
