Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) and her husband, Real Ting (丁子高), will be soon-to-be-proud parents as Miriam was 2-months pregnant! Yesterday, Miriam was spotted visiting a traditional Chinese medical practitioner. She wore a loose-fitting shirt and flat shoes and was escorted by her assistant. Upon spotting reporters, Miriam instinctively protected her belly area while her assistant recoiled in shocked surprise. Miriam said, “No need to hurry; we are just going to class!” However, Miriam did not disclose what class she was attending.

According to witness accounts, Miriam was often accompanied her husband, Real Ting, during her medical appointments. Each time, Miriam appeared very evasive and wore sunglasses. Regarding Miriam’s pregnancy, soon-to-be-father, Real Ting, may be concerned that her early pregnancy was still unstable. Real responded via text message, “We will temporarily not respond to the matter. Thank you for your concern!”

In 2009, Andy Lau’s (劉德華) secret marriage registration with Carol Chu (朱麗倩) in the United States was revealed, along with the celebrity marriages of Miriam Yeung with Real Ting, as well as Leon Lai (黎 明) and Gaile Lok (樂基兒). Two years later, Andy’s wife, Carol, became pregnant and coincidentally, 37-year-old Miriam was also 2-months pregnant.

Miriam Remains Tight-Lipped Over Pregnancy

Last night, Miriam wrapped up the last session of her concert and will be fully suspending her work while anticipating the birth of her baby in mid-June 2012. At the concert, Miriam wore loose costumes and even went barefoot! Backstage last night, reporters asked whether Miriam was pregnant, upon which she replied, “I am aware of everyone’s concern, but I’m very traditional; I’m afraid the baby will be upset!” Miriam’s response referred to the practice of Chinese pregnant women unwilling to announce their pregnancy until after the first trimester, afraid of miscarriage if the “baby was upset.”

Miriam continued, “Let’s not talk about it. I’m afraid that the more I talk about it, the harder it is [to have a baby]! Let’s wrap up on work first and wait until there is less stress! I was so busy earlier that I did not have a normal family life, which had some level of impact.”
