[Music] Jay Chou’s “Waiting for You” 等你下課

Dropping his new song “Waiting for You” (等你下課) last week, Jay Chou (周杰倫) has already accumulated six million views on his YouTube channel.

It is easy to see why the song has been topping charts across Asia, as Jay keeps the melody simple but pleasing with an arrangement of acoustic guitar, piano, and strings. The song talks about an unfulfilled first love in which a boy continues to think about his high school crush years after graduation, an experience that can easily be related by many.

Jay said the song is meant as a birthday gift for himself and fans.

hum…are there really guys that think about their HS crushes? i never thought about my crushes but i am a girl so that’s different? perhaps more reminiscent of the past rather than the crush….
