Myolie Wu Hang Yee appeared in a long-flowing dress and high wedge sandals at the “Princess Sailing Yacht Ceremony” conference yesterday. Myolie said that if a man were to name his yacht after her English name, she would marry him. This was a very romantic gesture. If the yacht was named after a man’s wife or girlfriend, it indicated how much he treasured her. It was not an issue of money, but rather an indication of sincerity and thoughtfulness. Myolie said that she has not met such a rich man yet.
Perhaps Myolie will use her own money to buy a yacht, but only an inexpensive model. In the past, Myolie sailed on a boat to an isolated beach to have fun. However, she will not go nude sunbathing. She admitted that aside from having no figure, she had no courage to do so. Overseas, Myolie saw other people at a nude beach and it was quite astounding. Also, overseas women tend to have better figures.
It was rumored that Bernice Liu Bik Yee’s attendance was originally requested at the yacht ceremony. Myolie did not know the reason why the sponsor decided to change spokes models. She did not mind replacing Bernice. She was following the company’s work assignments.

Jayne: Myolie’s star power appears to have slipped in 2009. Is the audience tired of seeing her in romantic comedies? I sure am. Part of the problem was that TVB tailored Myolie’s career to follow the gap left by Esther Kwan when she left the company. Myolie was loved by the audience for her cheerful onscreen performances.
Frankly, I’ll like to see Myolie playing sophisticated career women roles or perhaps someone’s mistress, anything to break that “spunky, cheerful heroine” she has played for the last eight years. Just no “love-sick” roles (like “Burning Flame”) that can’t make up their minds. Dislike the weak-willed characters written by TVB very much.

Myolie just recently had a breakthrough in “A Chip off the block”. A role that’s finally different in that her character is materialistic. Despite bad time slot(christmas holidays), there are rumors that the series will get a sequel. She just recently also had another breakthrough in a mainland series(Beauty Scheme) too.
i’m definitely a fan of myolie. i find her quirky-ness quite attractive. her roles aren’t exactly the best that tvb has to offer but in time, i see her doing great things.
i see more star quality in her than linda chung and fala chen .. but both of them are far advance than her =(
To be honest although she was okay in A Chip off The Block, her lovesick character and awkward performance in Burning Flame 3 made me turned off. Aimee Chan has less experience and Wong Hei’s new lover has little screentime but they shined more than her. Her peformance in the recent Moses series is also so-so.
I’ve been a fan of her since the Golden Faith/Colourful Life and thought she was going to be a fa dan one day. But to be honest, her career and advancement as actress really is at a standstill.
TVB just needs to give her an image overhaul,in my opinion or give her a breakthrough role like Tavia.
it’s funny how her haters try to ignore her breakthrough performance in chip off the block, and focus on dissing her performance in burning flames 3 (where the fault lies more in the character and weak storyline). i thought myolie will be playing an agressive lawyer in her next series? isn’t that a sophisticated career woman role?

Ia w/ anonymous. There wasn’t much Myolie could’ve done with the character. The character was weak minded and indecisive. Haters say she hasn’t improved when she just recently had 2 breakthrough roles(beauty scheme/a chip off the block). It goes to show that no matter how many breakthroughs she has, haters will always harp the same criticisms. -_-
her recent acting on ‘chow heung low dip tong pak fu’ are a quite good but i would love to see she goes for the moddy and angry role like the ‘in-law war’

everyone knows hk reporters like to twist the words of artistes and make up stuff, believing hundred percent what they say is stupid. obviously myolie was just joking about the marriage, what she meant was that it’s a very romantic thing for a man to name a yacht after a woman.
