Myolie Wu Joins Stephen Shiu Jr.’s Company

After Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) left TVB, many wondered about the next step in her career. Earlier reports claimed that Myolie would be joining Stephen Shiu Jr.’s (蕭定一) company, although she always dodged responding directly to the rumors.

GME announced today that they will be signing a popular female artiste. To preserve an air of mystery, GME did not reveal the identity of the female artiste, but many speculated it to be Myolie.

While other companies offered lucrative deals, Myolie was eventually swayed by Stephen, who promised to create roles and films specifically tailored for her. Allegedly signing a four-year contract for $35 million HKD, Myolie will be joining Chilam Cheung (張智霖) and Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) under Stephen’s management agency.

It is understood that Myolie will wrap up her remaining work and focus on filming movies after joining GME.

Since leaving TVB, Myolie partnered with fashion designer Kev Yiu to open up a bridal studio business. Personally promoting the brand, Myolie’s business is already picking up briskly after its summer opening. Rumored to also be planning her wedding at the same time, Myolie’s schedule is fully packed through the end of the year.

  1. If I were Stephen Siu Jr./GME, I would rather sign up Fala Chen who is more flexible in portraying characters. Personally I think Fala is prettier and acts better.

Charmaine Sheh is also a lot better than Myolie Wu in look and acting.
