Myolie Wu to Take Vacation after Lunar New Year
Despite the Lunar New Year holidays coming up, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) is still working every day without a break. Because of the hectic filming schedule for her new ancient costume comedy, The Vinegar Lady <醋娘子>, Myolie eventually fell ill.
Hardworking as always, Myolie did not want to delay the production schedule, and continued to film despite being sick. Since the busiest part of the filming schedule has been completed, she will be taking a long vacation after Lunar New Year to catch up on rest. “We’ve already filmed in the most difficult locations and the outdoor scenes already. After the New Year, I’m thinking about taking a break and going on a vacation with my assistant. However, we haven’t started planning it yet.”
Myolie also added that working with Ron Ng (吳卓羲) again in The Vinegar Lady was extremely pleasant. Having worked together with Ron in past series, they had good chemistry. Ron also created a humorous environment for his co-stars, making filming progress smoothly.
Myolie will be acting in new TVB drama, Walking With You <陪着你走>, in March. She will be portraying a blind person for the first time. Aside from memorizing the script, Myolie will have to do intensive research to prepare for her role, such as watching movies and practicing the proper gestures of the blind.

This series was filmed really fast. But hey this is a TVB here.

Actually, I may have been wrong. This drama may been film quicker than Queen Divas. The costume filming for this was on September 23rd but Angela said that they started filming late. They were still filming this drama on December 23. But what I do know is that Nancy said that there was a tight production schedule for the drama. So I’m not exactly sure, but they probably have to edit it too as well, so probably 2-3 months as well?
Aren’t all drama filming schedule’s tight?but of course some are tighter than others. In China it is like that too but I do not think it is as bad because they allow their artists sufficient rest.
I think it depends on the expected deadline. Some dramas may be hurried if they are chosen to broadcast within a time period while others are filmed on a “freer” schedule.

Maybe not the scenes, but they were filming the theme song MV for the drama on December 23. Hence, they would still be doing the post-production work for this drama during that time period..

You are right that it depends on the series since some are used as anniversary series,new years series,etc.. So would need to be filmed before a certain time period, therefore the filming schedule would be even tighter.
How many eps is this series? 20 eps and how long did it take to film? I remember BXJ from China taking about only 2 and 1/2 months to only 3 months to film and it was 30 eps.
This is only 20 episodes long and I believe it started filming in early November, so about 2 1/2 months to film this?
Thanks I vaguely remember it being either 20 or 25 eps long. I guess 2 and 1/2 months is about right. But that is tight which is not that surprising.
Myolie is so hard working. Love her work ethic. Still need to take care of yourself so you can make more series for us to watch please.
All of the cast and crew work hard so it is not only her.
I know but the article is talking about myolie. And yeah I do think she has been working the hardest. She has been working nonstop since she debuted. And she has been in the industry for the longest.
I am not sure if she has been in the industry. I think Ron and Alice have been in the industry longer than her. But it is not the biggest deal if she was or not.

I used to have a friend that loved Ruby Lin that over complimented her in every way possible. Therefore, it is not wrong of sandcherry to think that vannn is a diehard fan.
I don’t have a problem if people say Myolie Wu is a hard-working actress in TVB. I just don’t quite agree with two words in the following comment as many other actresses work really hard as well:
“I do think she has been working the HARDEST. She has been working NONSTOP since she debuted.”
Two two words are “HARDEST” and “NONSTOP”.

This costume is better than the new one “the paintings of bureaucracy”. But yeah, TVB does need to add some colour and pizzazz into their costumes.
