Nicholas Tse to Open Mainland Talent Management Company

An insider of Emperor Entertainment Group recently revealed that Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) has already begun his preparations to establish a management company in mainland China, through which he hopes to discover and nurture young talents in the industry.

In recent years, Nicholas has widened his sphere of influence in the entertainment industry. Although his singing career has died down, his focus on films and television has helped him remain in the spotlight. Earlier this year, he served as a judge in the Super Boy <快樂男聲> singing competition, and in July 2014, he will appear as the head chef on a reality gourmet show, 12 Flavors <12道鋒味>, whose title is a play on Nicholas’ Chinese name.

In order to give back to the industry, Nicholas has taken steps to establish his own management company, with which he hopes to create an environment in which newcomers can grow and thrive. Artists under his management company will reportedly be guaranteed at least five movie roles and two album releases within a three-year period. Moreover, they will have the chance to receive guidance from Nicholas himself.

According to the EEG insider, Nicholas plans to sign two male and two female artists, with his highest hopes set on Super Boy runner-up Oho Ou (歐豪). Known for his rapping abilities and stage charisma, Oho recently collaborated with Nicholas on “Love is the Greatest” <愛最大>, the theme song for Nicholas’s upcoming film, As the Light Goes Out <救火英雄>.

Oho, who is just 21 years old, is currently under the management of EE-Media after placing second in this year’s Super Boy competition. He began releasing singles in 2012 and followed up with a mini-album in early 2013. During Super Boy, his sunny demeanor and remarkable fashion sense helped boost him in the eyes of the judges and viewers, and Grazia magazine even voted him as the “Most Fashionable Young Man” of the year.
