Niki Chow: “Kenneth Ma’s Old Dating Tactics Are Boring!”

Since breaking up with Nancy Wu (胡定欣) in 2011, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) has professed to being single. The 40-year-old actor is renown for his good qualities and had clear requirements in wishing to dating an older, mature-minded woman who gets along with his close-knit family. Although he is often rumored with his co-stars, including Tracy Chu (朱千雪), Kenneth claimed he has no luck with the ladies. Filming with Kenneth over the last month, Niki Chow (周麗淇) discovered why Kenneth is still single.

Earlier, Niki kissed Kenneth’s cheek eight times while filming outtakes for The Misadventure of Zoo <流氓皇帝>. Afterward, Kenneth said that wished to add more kissing scenes in the drama. Niki said, “When we rehearsed together, he put his lips near mine and asked to add more kissing scenes. At first, I felt very embarrassed and thought that he was very bold. I found out later that he only has a ‘bold mouth’, but his [dating tactics] are very old and boring!”

Niki was not the first co-star that Kenneth behaved with outright flirtation. Kenneth once admitted to speaking to his female co-stars in the same manner because he wanted to establish a friendly rapport through humor, facilitating better chemistry onscreen. To keep Kenneth’s boldness in check, Niki often keeps a bag of sweet treats handy. She said, “When he sees candy, his eyes will shine brightly.”

Filming for The Misadventure of Zoo is progressing quickly. Due to the tight filming schedule, Kenneth has only been sleeping two to three hours every day. Appearing tired yesterday, Kenneth revealed that the cast and crew will shoot footage in Foshan for the drama in June. He already plans to pack plenty of Cup Noodles for easy meals while on the road.

  1. Nikki sure is very pretty and her acting is improving.

off topic does anyone know how to write yim zai in traditonal chinese as in traitor, turncoat, mole.
I am assuming zai would be written like 仔 but yim?I dont think 鹽?

      1. 冇錯
        二五仔
        ji ng zai
        another term is
        漢奸
        hon gaan which is worse.

  2. Kenneth Ma is trying to hard to be a nice guy and popular around with females as well. If his tactics for wooing females is boring, that could mean that he is quite traditional in chasing them with lower price items such as candy, flowers and that sort instead of expensive dinners, jewelry and trinkets. My guess is that he is focusing on females who are not materialistic but wanting to share the same values that he is looking for which is a stable and lasting relationship based on compatibility and growth with each other and not tied to monetary value for the long term which may come across “cheap” to many girls in HK especially the materialistic environment that they have been exposed to.

  3. Can’t wait to see more of Niki’s dramas. been watching “A Change of Heart” over and over again..

  4. I can get why there are so many criticisms for the outfits of Txb series in general and this series. Niki looks better than that ugly hairdo and the bad pattern on her dress. The dresses she wore are unnecessarily colorful

  5. niki has a bf maybe if she didnt she will do a kiss scene with ma ming…

  6. WOW, the costumes look really dull and cheap.

  7. Bimbos like things new and shining, their short and sweet lingua franca is, no money no talk. Kenneth would be interesting if he is rich; got money got talk.

  8. I guess this explains the attitude of HK women. I guess he should just stick to the HK standard of buying expensive crap to them to fulfil their materialistic needs 🙂

  9. Quite like Niki, except one thing, if only she can speak louder, higher pitch and some varying tones and expression when acting in dramas, will make her less boring. In Bottled Passion, almost fell asleep.

  10. She also sounds very cocky in the fact that she has bagged a young, rich, and gorgeous boyfriend that is nearly impossible to find among the HK male population, especially those in the E circle.

    1. I don’t see any cockiness from Niki in this article, but I can see jealousy written all over your comment. Lol!!
