Rain Calls Crystal Liu China’s Most Beautiful Actress
At a press conference for the upcoming film, Beauty’s Dew <露水紅顏>, Korean pop star Rain surprised his female costar, mainland Chinese actress Crystal Liu (劉亦菲), by showing off his Mandarin and calling her the most beautiful actress in China.
Beauty’s Dew, which is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by writer Zhang Xiaohan (張小嫺). Both Crystal and director Gao Xixi (高希希) are fans of the original novel, and Gao even made a special trip to Hong Kong to speak with the writer about his plans for the adaptation, since this will be the first time one of Zhang’s works will be made into a movie.
Crystal and Gao also said they were big fans of Rain. Crystal called him “an artiste who can do anything” and said she hoped he could teach her to dance. Gao shared that he had earlier traveled to Chedun to watch Rain film a music video with mainland actress Betty Sun (孫儷). However, the Korean pop star had attracted so many people that Gao was unable to squeeze into the venue.
Rain made sure to return the compliments, praising Crystal for being “the most beautiful actress in China” and saying that Gao looks serious but is actually very gentle and considerate of his actors.
In addition, Rain practiced speaking his Mandarin, which he is currently learning. At the moment, he can communicate in simple terms and understand what other people are saying, though he still thinks the pronunciation and grammar are very difficult.
Crystal was shocked when she heard Rain speaking Mandarin on set, commenting, “I wouldn’t even dare to imagine myself using Korean to film a movie, but he can [use Mandarin to film].”
Beauty’s Dew is currently scheduled for a release on November 11, which is known in China as Single’s Day.

seriously? don’t agree. she looks very beautiful from certain angels eg on some photo stills. most of the time, she is just average. not being jealous…there are much prettier actresses esp in china.

I think Rain has good taste b/c I think she’s prettier than ALOT of mainland actresses’ actually. Sure some are pretty too but mostly plastic but Crystal Liu looks pretty naturally beautiful.
His real life g/f is only OK, in korea where PS is such a hit, there are LOTS of pretty korean actresses’.

I love her, I think she’s gorgeous and looks wonderfully well with Huang Xiao Ming in Return of the Condor Heroes. However, she’s not a very good actress…

I would not say Ruby Lin is the prettiest but there is something about her smile, it so genuinely sweet that make her very special. I really like Ruby Lin. She looks very young for her age as well.
