The filming schedule for TVB’s new legal drama, Arrogant Man of Justice <法網囂雄>, is pushed forward to the end of October. Starring Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Sharon Chan(陳敏之), Selena Li (李詩韻), Joyce Tang (滕麗名), Raymond Cho (曹永廉),Grace Wong (王君馨), and returning actor Pal Sinn (單立文), Arrogant Man of Justice is produced by Lam Chi Wah (林志華), who is known for his expertise in producing action crime dramas.

Roger Kwok will star as the titular character, an arrogant lawyer who he describes as “melancholic, urban, and cool.” Roger will develop a hate-love relationship with Sharon Chan, who portrays an unmarried mother in her early thirties.

In the drama, Sharon Chan has a four-year-old son with Stefan Wong (黃長興). Her son is left in the care of her elder sister, portrayed by Joyce Tang. Sharon expressed that she does not mind portraying a mother role, as many of her friends have already become parents.

“I should be having kids already at my current age,” said Sharon. “Because of my career, kids will not be an option until later in life.”

Sharon explained that she really wants to be a mother, and she does not mind having kids out of wedlock. “Many foreigners even arrange for their own kids to be the flower girl and boy at their weddings!”

Asked if her boyfriend also has the same intentions on having children, Sharon sweetly replied, “He does what I tell him to. The decision falls on me! We both want to have kids. My body is already ready, and if I disappear for one year, it means I am pregnant!” Sharon added that her “creation” plan will come true after drama filming is completed.

Roger laughed, “This is a curse! If you say it, it will happen! Hopefully it’ll come true soon! Both of my kids were born while I had filming projects.”

Rumors say that the more meat you eat, the more likely that a girl will be born, and the more vegetables you eat, the more likely that a boy will be born. Roger said, “Before my daughter was born, I ate a lot of meat. The owner at the beef store said that I brought his store luck!”

    10. Nicole says:

So Sharon Chan will be first lead? Hmm, really curious how she would handle it. I mean I do like Sharon, but not too sure of her leading and acting skills.

    11. Hannahh says:

Oh Lor Lan is in this too. I love watching her.

    12. sandcherry says:

Sharon Chan’s acting is so so, not as good as Nancy Wu’s. Surprised that she was given a 1st lead role before Nancy Wu.

TVB does not seem to promote Nancy Wu. All 2nd lead actresses got chances to move up, such as Selena Li, Natalie Tong, Aimee Chan, and now Sharon Chan, but not Nancy Wu.

Perhaps Nancy Wu made a good choice to find her “right” one as she may have more luck in her love life.

      • Icetea_td says:

Nancy should be given the lead role instead of Sharon, her acting is really limited, I can’t understand TVB’s decision.

        • sandcherry says:

          “I can’t understand TVB’s decision” ……. I can’t either.

Nancy Wu has worked so hard to act different types of support roles in the last few years, and her acting has proven to be very good for a support actress ….. a lot better than the other support actresses, such as Selina Li, Aimee Chan, Natalie Tong, Sharon Chan, etc. However, all the support actresses have been able to act 1st lead roles in the last year, but not Nancy Wu. Feel sorry for Nancy. Her screen time has dropped a lot in the last year. Either Nancy gave up due to the current situation, or TVB gave up on promoting her.

        • Icetea_td says:

Yeah, I really think Nancy is one of the very few actresses with true talent, others have been in industry for ten years and still show limited capability in acting. Watching the FH3, I think her acting is even better than Maggie. And Sharon, except the long legs and pretty face, I couldn’t find anything called actress-like criteria from her.

        • sandcherry says:

Sharon Chan does not speak very well in her dialogues either. She has lazy intonations.

Agree with you that “Sharon, except the long legs and pretty face, I couldn’t find anything called actress-like criteria from her.”

As for me, the next rising star in the younger generation should be Aimee Chan. She seems to have acting talents despite her very limited acting experience and language problems.

        • HeTieShou says:

Maybe that is why TVB is going downhill?? They lack veterans, good producers, script writers(since many if them have left), etc.. But are now promoting the wrong people…

        —————————————–
Agree with the above comments. TVB seems promoting every artiste now whether he/she is good or not in his/her acting, but somehow neglects promoting Nancy Wu. Very surprised!

Nancy looks good in ancient and modern drama series …. action, dancing, classy or villainous roles. Don’t understand why she is always left out in promotions.

Sharon Chan does not look good in ancient drama series. She is too tall (and seems to be too big-built) for ancient roles. Sharon only looks okay for modern drama series, and her acting is very limited.

      • Hannah says:

Winning BSA last year helped Sharon’s career. As for Nancy, I don’t really know what’s her case. She’s in every anniversary series for the past years, which is an indication of promotion, but she’s not at a fadan level. I guess when TVB decides to award her, she’ll become a leading lady. But as of right now, her roles are challenging. At least she’s not given boring and repetitive roles.

    13. JF says:

Sharon Chan looks rather…different in the picture? Took me a while to figure out

    14. Veejay says:

So is this Sharon’s first leading role? Still not convincing, her image has been long stucked in my mind as 2nd lead..

    15. J says:

Sharon looks so different with light makeup on. I prefer her this way.

    16. Grace says:

Why is Roger Kwok always so dark??? I think he’ll look better fairer.

    17. Hannah says:

I guess I would rather have Sharon lead than Aimee, Christine or Eliza.
