Earlier, there were rumors that Ron Ng Cheuk Hei and Raymond Lam Fung’s friendship was over due to mutual interest inLinda Chung Ka Yan. Allegedly, the men had a heated exchange on their blogs.
At yesterday’s TVB Anniversary Lighting Ceremony, Ron and Raymond posed for press photos and denied any animosity. Raymond said, “My friendship with Ron Ng has not changed over the last decade. I never dated Linda Chung. Artists are paired with different co-stars. During the filming of a series, there are either dating rumors or disagreement rumors. I am just laughing over the rumors.”
Ron emphasized that he starting having more intimate contact with Linda since the filming of Men and Women’s Dwelling Choice <抉宅男女>. Linda dismissed the rumors as false before leaving the scene quickly.

Ray’s been overworked with his concert and series filming. He does look tired. His skin looked really off in ‘Growing Through Life’ in the HD stuff! You should see his concert, Funn… his hair is even worse (bleached with a weird black section on top).

I actually like Raymond’s outfit. His hair is a little uncombed and he looks tired. Watch until “The Colorful World of Sister Fa” is released, Raymond will probably look haggard and tired in that series.

I believe there is some truth to the Linda/Raymond dating rumors. Actors never admit until they are close to marriage or many years later. There was a recent gossip article about Linda Chung being so upset over her break-up with Raymond that she had to take time off to return to Vancouver to recouperate (which was why Linda was missing from the Can’t Buy Me Love finale gathering with the whole cast in HK).
Allegedly, Raymond has been cheating on her with some China actress, last name Lim/Lum/Lam, with several pictures posted in the article and showed good friend Shirley Yeung overheard comforting Linda. Who knows how much is true, but I do believe that Raymond & Linda probably at least went out/dated for a while, if they don’t have an underground relationship. Why would Linda reject Raymond if he showed any interest in pursuing her. And I refuse to believe that Raymond lives a “very dry” life as in no dating life at all during his career. He just does not admit it.
Anyways, he’s the “prince” and how many female actresses out there can really resist??
I agree with you Wendy. My mom was mentioning to me that she heard that Ray and Linda did date but of course they will not admit it. I think their relationship was pretty brief and did not last though. If rumours re-occur over and over again, I think a lot of times there is some truth to them. If there is no fire then why is there smoke??

Right, HeTieShou, these rumors persist because there is some truth to them. Linda and Raymond will be performing a Thanksgiving concert in Reno together, so it’ll be interesting to see them together then. I have tickets!!
As for preference, I’d choose Sammul over all the other guys. He is taller and the most handsome. I remember him and Raymond in Survivor Law and Sammul was so much better looking than Raymond. I think Raymond had some recent plastic surgery or something b/c his chin and cheeks look so different, even if he has some weight loss. Just look at the concert pictures from 2009 and 2010. Cheeks are sunken in and chin seems longer in 2010. He looked cuter in 2009, imho.
I personally don’t think that Linda and Raymond went out. I reckon Linda is too “european” and raymond doesn’t suit her style. I think Linda would want someone more europeany.
And I agree Raymond did have ALOT of plastic surgery. He looks totally different. I definitely prefer his look before. He looks a bit freaky now…

Wendy, I heard something different regarding Linda going to Vancouver to recoup. In one interview, she said that she couldn’t shake-off one of the character that she was playing and was lacking sleep, I think it was “ghost writer”, thus needed to take a vacation. Ray made it really clear in the Fan Kam interview that he is tired of his rumors with Linda, it’s getting old and now brining Ron into it is just unpleasant. Ray once had rumor with Fala too, that someone caught them going to Karaoke together. But then again, there are some truth in some rumors, but most of the time, it’s for promotional purpose or gossips.
Jayzemine, From what I read, Linda suffered insomnia and had to take a week off in June/July, but her recent trip to Vancouver was in Sept/Oct, during the Can’t Buy Me Love finale. Maybe the problem is still persisting so she needed another longer break, but who knows. In her very recent pictures, she does have a sad look or forced smile on her face.
I feel bad for these actors/actresses, always having to hide their relationships, forcing them to have to make up excuses or lie when answering the media’s constant questions. Maybe it is protect their careers or the other person. Andy Lau said something very interesting. When asked if there is still triad influence in the entertainment industry, he indicated that’s the reason why he didn’t want to disclose who his wife/partner’s identity was. Guess loved ones can be used as a threat.
I have heard that some companies do forbid artists that work in the same company to date, but luckily TVB is not like that. I am not sure if these actors/actresses are ever “forced” to hide their relationships(maybe in a few selected cases, but as far as I know that doesn’t happen often), but they instead just choose to hide it. I think it is sad because what will they do or say when the truth finally comes out??

oh haha i thought Linda dated Philip Ng? I remember seeing it in some magazine. I don’t know but I’ve never seen any pictures that show Raymond and Linda actually went out and I always thought that the rumors were fake.
I don’t understand how so many people are pulled into tabloids and ongoing false rumors. Has anyone actually read these magazines? They’re pretty ruthless and most of the times false. (An extremely good example, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) There have been NUMEROUS articles on them breaking up or fighting or having a fall out. Completely false and if people paid attention, they’re still extremely loving and family oriented.
Also, if people paid attention to what the artist themselves have to say, they do make it very clear, although some tabloids take it out of context. (I remember one article that quoted how he “needed a maid” and they related that to Linda Chung’s character on the TVB show. If you pay attention to his mannerisms he sighed, most likely tired from being rumored with her for so long). He’s taken on many interviews, some questions ask what kind of ideal woman he likes and he’s described them. Along with saying numerous times how he is not, never was with Linda.
This probably does seem like a rant, but I, probably like Raymond Lam himself, is extremely tired of hearing just about every other quote from him, linked to Linda or reporters asking him about Linda every chance they see him. They need to give it a rest.

1st time hearding Linda/Ron. I believe that there was a fling btw Linda & Ray. I don’t doubt that there’s m/b a bit of spark or flirts btw Linda and Ron, it’s common b/c Linda admits earlier in her series that she gets too into her character and have some feelings for her co-stars.

Haha I definitely don’t think there was anything. I kinda feel like people aren’t getting the whole story too. I do think that Linda does have feelings for her coworkers, well maybe, maybe not. She’s mentioned she likes some of the guys, so it’s probably one sided. And in this case, Raymond and Ron and strictly professional and don’t feel anything for her. Especially if anyone has watched that one interview where Raymond says what type of girl he likes and how he’s concentrating on work first.

Sammul is friends with the other siu sangs (since they collaborated with one another often) but, not up to BFF level like between the 2R. Raymond was also very good friend with Joel I think.
Hins and Kenny never admitted to any brokeback relationship, but, they are very open about their close friendship.
When actors don’t admit, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and take their word for it.

Anyone has watched old video clips of Raymond and Linda in 2007 and 2008 can sense the “feeling” Raymond has toward Linda. The reason why their rumor lasted so long is because reporters and TVB colleagues saw how Rayda treated each other OFF-screen. Then, Raymond changed his behavior after Mr. Ng’s name popped up in the news…..
If there is nothing between Rayda, Raymond could have called Linda his “sister” since day one when the rumor broke years ago. Steven Ma and Linda Chung had 4 TVB series together, there is No rumor what-so-ever.
