Ron Ng Has Still Not Renewed His TVB Contract
In a mournful mood, a red-eyed Ron Ng (吳卓羲) appeared at the International Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom this morning for his father’s funeral. At 72-years old, Ron’s father earlier passed away as a victim of pancreatic cancer. Still emotionally unstable, the TVB actor recalled accompanying his father by his side in his last moments of life.
Despite his sadness, Ron was nice towards reporters and responded to their questions. He shared that his father’s biggest wish was for him to take some time off work and visit relatives in their hometown of Zhongshan. Ron also revealed that he plans to lay his father to rest in Hong Kong. “It’ll be easier for me to visit him. Our relatives in Zhongshan come to Hong Kong all the time as well,” he said.
Asked if he is frequently taking time off work these days, Ron expressed, “I have to deal with my father’s death first. I’ll think about other stuff later.” He added that TVB knows about the death of his father and has not urged him to renew his management contract yet, although it has already expired. “I’ve stopped working for quite some time already, but I’ll return once I’m done with my father’s things. There’s no set date yet, but it’ll happen soon.”
