Since filming for Love Exceeds the Coastline <情越海岸線> began, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) has been embroiled in romantic rumors with costars, Selena Li (李詩韻) and Lee Yee Man (李綺雯). Tabloids even claimed that former ATV actress, Lee Yee Man, lost Ruco Chan to Selena Li, who appeared to be increasingly intimate with him. Denying the dating rumors, Ruco even went as far to state that he was not good enough for the women!
TVB romantic comedy, Love Exceeds the Coastline, has already completed filming. TVB executive, Norman Leung (梁乃鵬), treated the cast and crew to a 8-table seafood dinner in Cheung Chau yesterday. Riam Chiang (蔣志光) and Cilla Lok’s (樂瞳) birthdays were acknowledged by Mr. Leung, who possessed an approachable management style. Mr. Leung revealed that he had once lived in Cheung Chau for 18 years. After learning from Selena that the cast was filming there, he decided to revisit the place and treat the cast for dinner.
Ruco Chan and Selena Li Have No Love Sparks
Outside of work, Selena said that she was not too familiar with Ruco’s personal life. She praised him for his professionalism while filming Love Exceeds the Coastline. Selena lamented that it was her fault in sitting in Ruco’s designated chair on the filming set, which sparked tabloid’s wild imagination in reporting about their “love sparks.” Selena said, “Right now, we are colleagues” and that she did not have the intention to go on a private date with Ruco.
Despite the numerous kissing scenes Selena had with Ruco, she did not appear to be mesmerized by her handsome costar. Selena said, “He is very professional and able to withdraw after filming the scenes!”
Ruco was quite friendly with former ATV colleague, Lee Yee Man, while he was noticeably more awkward when taking photos with Selena Li. Ruco’s behavior appeared to be a far cry from earlier tabloid reports which claimed that romantic sparks were ablaze between Selena and him! Ruco apologized, “It’s my own fault. I believe that they (Lee Yee Man and Selena Li) will be able to find a much better man!”
When it was pointed out that both Ruco and Selena had dated artists in the entertainment circle, Ruco said that he was friendly with Selena’s ex-boyfriend, Patrick Tang. Realizing that Selena and Patrick had already broken up, Ruco appeared to be embarrassed and said, “Okay, let’s not talk about this anymore!”

Jayne: Love Exceeds the Coastline should be an enjoyable drama for the eyes. I went to Cheung Chau when visiting Hong Kong and the island is very tiny! I think I rode a bicycle around for the day and although TVB dramas often make it appear to be a fun vacation destination, it is a very quiet place without much to do. I was personally more impressed with the coastline views found in the Stanley district.

I’m not surprised by the title. Since when did celebrities outrightly admit to dating each other? Ruco also needs to gain confidence in himself.
Selena looks so tanned in that picture. The whole cast seemed to have gotten so much tanner since filming.
I really like Ruco and Selena as a pairing. I wouldn’t mind if love did spark between them. ;D

The cast spend a lot of time outdoors filming Love Exceeds the Coastline. Ruco has been looking too tanned lately. His skin color is getting close to Qiu Bo Bo.
Speaking of Kiu Bobo, he’s doing really well in No Good Either Way! It’s a pity that he’s leaving TVB soon; I was expecting to see more of him now that he’s getting more prominent on-screen roles. It’s great to see minorities getting their time to shine. Love diversity.

Well Kiu Bo Bo is a quiet millionaire and his wife and son are waiting for him to join them in Scotland (?). So any man in his position would have made the same choice.
Ruco may have over reacted to the rumors? I was surprised to see he stood a few inches away from Selena when they were asked to take photos together at the dinner.. it makes it even more embarrassing!

It’s not the first time Ruco has reacted in this way. I have watched him do the same at his fan club gatherings, where he will look or stand awkwardly far from a fan. As if he is afraid to touch or give women the wrong idea.
I wouldn’t say he that he is not confident around women, but rather very “on guard.” Ruco is a very careful person, perhaps too considerate of how his actions/words will be interpreted.
I think Chan Chin Pang is a very shy person. He does not know how to get along with women, especially female actors. He said in most of his interviews that he usually went out with guys to play sports.
Moreover,he worries too much about rumours.
aww so glad that they’re all working hard and getting tanned, but they do seem to be having a lot of fun. Wish the love rumors between Ruco and Selena were real. They would look soo cute together.
Ruco seems like such a good person. He’s way too modest. Any girl that dates him would be pretty lucky.
