Ruco Chan, Nancy Wu Promote “The Alliance” at Sales Presentation

Thanks to their hit series A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄>, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) and Nancy Wu (胡定欣) are the hot favorites to win the TV King and Queen awards. Earlier this week, Ruco and Nancy were among the hundreds of artistes promoting TVB’s upcoming dramas in 2017.

 

Among the fourteen dramas lined up for next year, Ruco and Nancy’s new crime action series, The Alliance <同盟> is speculated to be one of the grand productions of 2017. Although dating rumors have been surrounding the two since working together in A Fist Within Four Walls, Nancy does not mind the constant speculations. In fact, she encourages businesses to hire them as a couple to earn more money. Nancy laughed, “It’s very worth it to use us! So please keep hiring us!”

Other anticipated series next year include Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Kristal Tin‘s (田蕊妮) Lost <迷>, Ruco, Joel Chan (陳山聰), and Elaine Yiu‘s (姚子羚) Burning Hands <乘勝狙擊>, Heart of Greed 3 <溏心風暴3>, Line Walker 2 <使徒行者2>, Beyond the Realm of Conscience 2 <深宮計>, and Threshold Again <再創世紀> .

Edwin Siu On the Rise

Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) is already featured in three dramas set to air next year. When asked about his upcoming series, Edwin revealed, “All three of the series are costume dramas. I’m very excited for Beyond the Realm of Conscience 2 – I was actually in the first series as the Emperor, but my character died early in the script. Because of the well-performed death scene, producer Mui Siu Ching (梅小青) noticed me and started casting me [in her dramas].”

Asked if he received commercial jobs, Edwin said, “Of course I did! I tried my best to smooth talk! They can get Raymond Cho (曹永廉) to film anti-aging commercials and I can take the car, bank, and insurance commercials!”
