When Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Andy Hui Chi On were spotted dining at Tai Ping Koon Restaurant, their unification was publicly exposed. Two months later, Sammi and Andy’s relationship became stronger. When Sammi returned from Yunnan province to Hong Kong on April 29th, Andy suggested that they have dinner with her entire family in Wanchai.
While Sammi was not in Hong Kong, Andy did not get a chance to relax and accompanied her father on regular physical therapy appointments. After their marriage, Andy also agreed to move to Hong Kong Island near Sammi’s parents’ house. Since his future son-in-law was so accommodating, Sammi’s father was very pleased with Andy. Sammi’s entire family urged her to marry Andy next year.

Sammi has a good investment vision. At the tender age of 18, she bought her first property for $3.23 million (HKD), which has increased six times in value. Over the last two years, Sammi bought three luxury apartments. The total value of these properties currently amount to $ 160 million (HKD).

More like Sammi Cheng’s $160 million worth in property. Where is the dowry? And in chinese custom, the man pays the dowry, not the other way around.

I justify my title because the article makes the point that Sammie is wealthier than Andy. It assumes that her real estate wealth will be shared with her future husband though. That aside, a Chinese groom pays the bride’s family money as part of the Grand Gift (gor dai lai) in a wedding. A Chinese bride’s dowry (ka chong) normally linens (think dragon phoenix blankets), but wealthy brides can bring along other possessions and assets such as real estate.
I can just imagine Sammie bringing with her her huge wardrobe!!
So in this case Sammie’s the one who needs a prenup eh?

i really wonder how they get their income, they buy properties, unless they rent them out.. i cannot see how they make money. unless again, they invest in stocks or etc..
So most billionaires should not be consider a billionaire since almost all of their “money” are in stock value.

I’m not surprised that Sammie is wealthier than Andy. I do hope they get married later this year or next year. They were one of my fave celeb couples growing up.
I have heard of this news and am sooo happy for them. They broke up and are now together again… I guess it is just fate… I hope that they will finally get married and have a long and lasting marriage.
