Currently busily filming Hong Wu Thirty-Two <洪武三十二> with Joe Ma Tak Chung, Michael Tse Tin Wah, and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam, Sammul Chan Kin Fung said that he had to sacrifice other money-making opportunities this summer.
Sammul estimated that he lost a seven figure income due to his filming for Hong Wu Thirty-Two. He spoke about his painful loss, “It’s difficult to have it all. If I earn the money, I would not be able to film a good drama. Life is always about compromise!”
Was money or fame more important? Sammul said, “It’s hard to answer. I want everything; I want my youth and health!” What about love? “I want that too. I have not dated in the last three or four years and feel very dry!”

And he’s very individualistic too. One of the reasons he didn’t want to sign management with TVB because be he want to have freedom to choose what he want to do, to work with different people. He understand that he will not be as promoted as other siu sang by signing just an actor contract, but, he is willing to accept the pros and cons of his choice.

Sammul is a very pretty man, but he’s lacking something to be in my radar. I can’t really explain it. It’s not that his acting is bad(although its not amazing either) and not because of his looks(because he’s a pretty boy).

Maybe Sammul comes across as a “high maintenance” man? I think he has high expectations and due to his bluntness in expressing his opinions, he might come across the wrong way.
Masaharu, our tastes seem to be the same. Sometimes a man doesn’t have to be perfect in looks to attract us. It could be the personality or the aura they give off, such as ultra-masculinity or in Moses’ case (whom I don’t find to be handsome), his tall height and sensible maturity make him attractive as well.
I agree Jayne, looks is not everything, it needs to come with a good personality as well. Sometime, the personality can make the person quite attractive. It’s the way one carry themselves.

Yea, looks is definately not the most important thing in a relationship! It is way more than just looks. There are some people who are really physically attractive, but just don’t seem to attract a lot of people since they just don’t have that “aura”.I think the aura that you give out is even more important than looks. Of course personality is also more important than looks.
