Sharon Chan Looks Forward to More Singing Opportunities

Although Sharon Chan (陳敏之) is on her way to stardom and her work schedule is packed for 2013, there is one thing that she will never forget to do – eat. Sharon reveals that no matter how hard a day’s work is, she always rewards herself with a good meal. This is especially true if the meal was cooked by a significant other because she feels that being able to enjoy a good meal with a special person is the best feeling.

Sharon shared on her blog that after she returned from work in mainland China, her boyfriend cooked her a steak dinner which melted her heart. She wrote, “After returning from mainland, I come home to find a steak dinner and the flavor was so sweet.”

While Sharon admits that her work is keeping her extremely busy, she still manages to take some time off to catch a break in order to maintain a work and life balance. That way, she can re-energize herself and throw her focus back into work. Sharon took a vacation to Thailand not too long ago to relax and re-focus.

Sharon is known for her hard-working ethics in the industry. Aside from acting, she also hosts various variety and lifestyle shows. She recently hosted a food-themed show with Roger Kwok (郭晉安). For this foodie, Sharon took the opportunity to learn some cooking tips so she can experiment in the kitchen not just for herself, but also for her boyfriend.

When this multi-talented artist finally catches a break, she also finds time to take singing lessons from Joey Yung (容祖兒) and Kay Tse’s (謝安琪 ) singing teacher, Christine Samson. Sharon said, “I am waiting in line at TVB for the right opportunity. I know that TVB will give me the chance to sing so I am making the most of my time now and learning how to sing to improve myself as an entertainer. I will try my best and hope to perform for everyone.” It looks like Sharon will be able to add “singer” to her list of talents in the very near future.

  1. she’s a great host but she cannot sing. Heard her in Toronto live with Raymond Lam.

    1. nowaday…singer does not need to know how to sing…it is what happen in HK…nowhere else…

      1. I dont think she inject a crap pile to her nose.

  2. Never heard her sing but finding a vocal coach is never the wrong step. At least she’s going in the right direction instead of picking up a mic and start singing.

  3. Sharon sang a themesong before. The song is nice, but I thought her singing was below average, but not horrible. Since she’s going to take lessons with a teacher, we should see how it turns out, instead of bashing her right away. I think Sharon’s singing ability is close to Kate’s, and Kate gets to release an album, so why not give Sharon a chance? 😛

    1. Because Kate can dance and most of songs in her EP are dancing songs. Sharon, on the other hand, can’t dance.

However Kate’s singing career ended, so even if Sharon has an EP/album, it will end up the same.

  4. “When this multi-talented artist finally catches a break, she also finds time to take singing lessons from Joey Yung (容祖兒) and Kay Tse’s (謝安琪 ) singing teacher, Christine Samson.”

Well, I hope the lessons with Christine Samson will really do her good. Based on her singing ‘Glittering Days’, she’s only so so.

  5. don’t know why, everytime when i look at sharon chan’s face, i feel that she’s very old even if by right she’s not

  6. Why do most HK actors/actresses feel compelled to cross over to the music industry even when they do possess any skills in the field.

I mean c’mon, you don’t see Arnold Schwartzennegger come out with CD now , do you?

    1. LOL maybe wages are too low and they need more income?
