Although TVB drama, Three Kingdoms RPG <回到三國>, has been heavily criticized for its casting and visual effects, the time travel drama has generated a substantial following. The popular onscreen couple, Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Tavia Yeung (楊怡) from hit drama, The Hippocratic Crush <On Call 36小時>, has once again confirmed their star power in attract audience members.
In Three Kingdoms RPG, Kenneth’s character travels back to the historical era to start a relationship with Tavia’s character. Due to the contrast in their characters’ backgrounds, the differences between ancient and modern perspectives in love clash.
Kenneth Claims that Modern Day Men are Unfaithful
In the drama, Kenneth plays an immature slacker that touts his infamous “Eighteen Techniques of Hong Kong Men.” Kenneth said that his character reflects the mentality of today’s youth. He said, “In the series, when I went back to the historical era, I learned the benefits of traditional Chinese customs. The series illustrates how values from ancient society greatly deviate from modern times.”
Regarding their characters in Three Kingdom RPG, Tavia complained, “Kenneth is so mean! He doesn’t like me!” Kenneth laughed, “Modern day men are disloyal in love and like to flirt with women! However, the character will later realize how much Tavia’s character means to him.”
Tavia Praised Kenneth as Good Husband Material
Tavia divulged that Kenneth is not the typical “modern day man” in reality. She said, “He can make the big talk, but does not act on it!” However being a true friend, Tavia went on to compliment him. “He can be quite attentive and treats his mom really well. He’s definitely good husband material!”
Kenneth’s character in the series is different than the roles he normally plays. Therefore, he felt that it was quite challenging. His onscreen lover, Tavia praised the role as being extremely fun. Asked if they felt that they were given a “cannon fodder” time slot due to the competiton from the impending airing of the London 2012 Olympics, Tavia laughed and said, “With Raymond Lam (林峯) in the series, it cannot be a cannon fodder time slot!”
Earning Money as a Couple
Kenneth and Tavia played an onscreen couple several times in the past, but they rarely partner up to attend events. Tavia laughed, “I want to do so, but scheduling is too difficult.”
In regards to rumored boyfriend Him Law (羅仲謙), Tavia honestly said that she did not mind attending events with him. She replied, “If vendors would like to hire us, I will definitely do it. I feel that as long as there is a man standing next to me at an event, I can charge a higher rate!”

From recent snippets of Kenneth’s replies in interviews, he seems to want a hassle-free and low maintenance woman. His approach to relationships appear to be minimal effort, which may also concur with the fact that he is all talk and no action. He doesn’t make the effort to truly chase after love. Not a very romantic type of guy.

Kenneth really reminds me of one of my friend’s friends. They are both the same age too. They are great guys but do not chase after love. I think the girls need to chase them in order for something to happen.. There are many great guys like that but are still single because they are all talk and no action…

tavia is always pretty. she looks younger when her hair was longer. her short hair made her look more mature. but this length is great on her.
she’s pretty & most important’s she got talent…i’m not being biased..but among other fadans (myolie, linda, fala, kate)…she’s the most talented.
