Due to the success of “Moonlight Resonance” and “Beyond the Realm of Conscience,” Tavia Yeung Yi has become one of TVB’s top leading ladies. At the same time, Tavia’s love life has also come into the media’s spotlight. Allegedly, Tavia has been dating TVB colleague, Lai Lok Yi, for over half a year.
Tavia and Lai Lok Yi were both in TVB’s 1999 acting training class. Since both of their careers experienced slow starts, the pair shared common ground and maintained a friendship for the last ten years.
According to a source close to Lai Lok Yi, Tavia Yeung’s mother is opposed to the relationship. Allegedly, Mrs. Yeung felt that Lai Lok Yi’s career was stagnant and did not have a promising future. Due to Mrs. Yeung’s opposition, rumors surfaced earlier that Tavia and Lai Lok Yi broke up. Allegedly, Lai Lok Yi has been greatly depressed and often complained about the situation to his friends.
Despite rumors of their tumultuous break-up, Lai Lok Yi was photographed driving Tavia Yeung shopping in Causeway Bay earlier in January. When Lai Lok Yi spotted the media, he stepped on the gas pedal and drove the car quickly away.
When reporters lost sight of Lai Lok Yi’s car due to the traffic, they decided to wait for the pair in front of Tavia’s apartment building. Eventually, Lai Lok Yi was spotted dropping Tavia off at her house. When reporters confronted Lai, he just smiled and did not respond to any questions.

tavia is known for her filial piety towards her mum. if she has problem with this, then the relationship doesnt look too promising. but anyhow, might be jus a paparazzi junk too.
