The End of the World: TVB Artists Share with Loved Ones

Across the globe, billions wondered if the world would come to an end on Friday, December 21, 2012 as predicted by the ancient Mayans. How to spend their last moments if indeed the world ended in a blink or flash? TVB artists braced themselves to spend it with their loved ones.

Bosco Wong: “I’ll Hold My Mom!”

A police arrest and a potential apocalypse did not deter Eric Tsang (曾志偉) from his favorite pastime. Known for his love of alcohol, Eric partied away happily with his close friends. Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Janet Chow (周家蔚), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Toby Leung (梁靖琪), Cutie Mui (梅小慧), and Tommy Leung (梁家樹) attended the party. Despite the police’s ongoing investigation of Eric’s criminal intimidation and physical assault case, Bosco said it was not necessary to reassure Eric, who has been through more challenging situations in the past.

Asked if he had called ex-girlfriend, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Bosco said he will spend the fateful day with his mother instead.

Joel Chan Makes Up With Florinda Ho

Joel Chan (陳山聰) reportedly left his ex-wife and TVB career behind after finding the love of a lifetime in casino heiress, Florinda Ho (何超雲). Rumored to have had a big argument and even breaking up, Joel did not leave any loose heart strings untied should the world indeed come to an end. On Friday morning, Joel spent time with his two big loves: Florinda and shopping. The couple obviously made up and were spotted at the IFC mall in the Central district. Florinda urged fans to not believe in the breakup rumors, but said marriage is not in the works yet.

Tavia Yeung Spends Time With Other Family

Tavia Yeung (楊怡) has warmed up to her Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles <名媛望族> family, participating in an “End of the World” dinner with cast and crew members on Thursday night. Damian Lau (劉松仁), Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗), and Charmaine Li (李思欣) were present, celebrating Tavia’s recent Best Actress win. Tavia said, “If Friday were the end of the world, I am satisfied to be able to meet with everyone tonight!”

Aimee Chan: “Christmas is More Important”

Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) did not believe  that the world will come to an end on Friday, but was more concerned about  global climate changes occurring. For Aimee, December 21 only meant as the winter solstice, which she celebrated in advance with her aunt and uncle.

Switching the topic to Christmas, Aimee said that she has already purchased and wrapped her gift for boyfriend, Moses Chan (陳豪). “I bought a very practical gift for him.” Asked if she had purchased Moses underwear, Aimee laughed, “No, it’s not as practical. I bought a coffee-related product.”
