“Three Lives, Three Worlds” Continues to Stun Fans with Epic Posters

Shanghai GCOO Entertainment’s upcoming epic fantasy drama Three Lives, Three Worlds: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms <三生三世十里桃花> has set the bar once again for TV drama posters.

The drama, directed by Lam Yuk-fan (林玉芬), is adapted from the novel series of the same name and stars Yang Mi (杨幂) and Mark Chao (赵又廷) in lead roles. The drama, at 58 episodes long, will premiere on Zhejiang TV and Dragon TV on January 30.

The studios recently released a series of stunning character posters designed by ENO, a watercolor illustrator. The posters capture the elegance and grace of their characters through traditional water art, echoing the tone of the series and the original novel.

Three Lives, Three Worlds stars Yang Mi as the ancient fox goddess Bai Qian and Mark Chao as the young god Ye Hua, star-crossed lovers who are doomed to suffer tragic fates for multiple lifetimes.

  1. The plot sort of reminds me of Wallace and Tang Yan’s characters and story in Chinese paladin 3. However, still sounds interesting. Hope to see it soon!

  2. Struggled with the novel years ago despite its popularity. Between this TV version and the movie adaptation starring Yang Yang and Liu Yifei, I am more inclined towards the movie adaption with its casting choices. Mark Chao has not, to date, been a good choice as Ye Hua. However, will wait for the trailers and the actual release of both versions. Who knows, maybe both turn out as good…or bad.

  3. this still hasn’t been released? hopefully the costume designs are original not like the other show where they totally ripped it off of lord of the rings.

The hairstyle for Legola in LOTR is a ripoff of Chinese wuxia
warriors. Costumes from Star Wars are also ripoffs of Asian hanfu/kimonos
