TVB Viewers Get a Say in Eliminating 10 of the 20 Miss Hong Kong Contestants

Viewers will get a say in booting out 10 of the 20 Miss Hong Kong contestants for the upcoming pageant, which will be held on September 11, 2016.

According to TVB, the organizer of the event, viewers can log onto their TVB Fun app to select their favorite Miss Hong Kong contestants. The organizers will combine the votes from both viewers and a judging panel to select the top 10 contestants, who will advance to the final round. The top 10 will do photoshoot in Fukuoka, Japan.

On Thursday, 20 of the MHK contestants who made it to the second stage of competition appeared at an event in Kowloon Bay to promote the pageant. They urged viewers to log onto TVB Fun to vote for their favorite Miss Hong Kong.

Vanessa Cheung (張家盈) from Singapore exuded confidence when she went up on stage to introduce herself. She said, “I hope viewers can see my healthy body, my pose, and my sincerity.”

A few girls appeared nervous to be on stage. Daisy Dai (代蓮曦丹) stuttered in her short speech.  Melody Ho (何瑩瑩) spoke like she was reciting a passionate poem. The event’s MC, Luk Ho-ming (陸浩明), jokingly asked if Melody had studied poem recitation as her academic minor.

  1. Dresses look great with blue, pink, and green colors. Very ladylike and gives the impression of a different Miss Hong Kong this year who will represent women, versus someone who is a sexual object or image of beautification.
