Twins’ Close Chemistry In Music Video “TGIF”

Twins is back to make their mark in the Cantopop industry once again with their latest single “TGIF.” The upbeat, happy-go-lucky song, an acronym for “Thank God It’s Friday,” made their way into Hong Kong’s pop charts earlier this week.

The playful music video for “TGIF”, which was released on September 29, stars Twins as two boring office ladies (OL) who are counting down the days to Friday so they can look forward to a full weekend of partying and fun.

The duo filmed the music video at a presidential suite. Although most of the scenes in the music video consisted of just members Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) and Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) fooling around, Gillian suffered a minor injury while trying to jump onto a bed—she slipped and fell on top of a camera, chipping her forehead.

Charlene immediately came to Gillian’s aid and stanched her bleeding wound with a cotton pad. She then told one of her staff to immediately get ice. Although Gillian looked like she was in pain, she remained calm and even joked, “A headshot! That means good luck!”

After a three-year hiatus, Twins came back with a bang earlier this year with the release of their upbeat comeback single “LOL”, which reached number one on the RTHK Pop Charts. “LOL” was also used as the theme song for Hong Kong’s National Day Fireworks on October 1.
