Although Shu Qi had emphasized several times to the media that she was not dating her longtime friend, a recent angry Weibo post by Shu Qi seemed to be pointing fingers at Stephen, hinting that she may have recently broken up with the 37-year-old Hong Kong actor.
However, Shu Qi denied the breakup allegations, saying that the tabloids exaggerated the meaning of her post.
Stephen’s rumored ex-girlfriend, Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄), also appeared to doubt their relationship. When confronted with questions concerning her friends’ romantic rumors, Vivian said, “If the rumors are true, I will give them my blessings! But they should not be true.”

When asked for their thoughts on Vivian’s controversial response, Shu Qi’s agency briefly said, “No comment.”
