Since Forensic Heroes 3 <法證先鋒Ⅲ> garnered ideal ratings last week, cast members, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Aimee Chan (陳茵媺), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), and Producer Mui Siu Ching (梅小青) opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Last week, Forensic Heroes 3 averaged 33 points in ratings, peaking at 36 points with 2.3 million Hong Kong viewers tuning in. Becoming a ratings guarantor,Wayne noted that the credit was due to “Golden Producer” Mui Siu Ching.
Due to the popular reception of Forensic Heroes 3, the support for Wayne Lai to win this year’s Best Actor Award increasingly grew. However, Wayne considered that Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Raymond Lam (林峯) were good candidates for the award. “Based on acting, then Kevin Cheng should win. However, my vote goes towards Raymond Lam, since he portrayed the role of the devil in Men With No Shadows <不速之約> quite well. Raymond’s recent results can be boosted higher. More opportunities should be given to young people. I am Raymond’s fan and fully support him!”
Regarding allegations that Wong Hei (王喜) and Bowie Lam (林保怡) were kicked out of the Best Actor nomination list for this year’s TVB Anniversary Awards, Wayne Lai said, “If there were multiple nominations for one person, then people will complain that they are ‘divide the pork’ awards. Perhaps there were too many nominations and thus space for the nominees was limited.”
Aimee Chan dressed conservatively at the Forensic Heroes 3 promotion, thus losing the limelight to Kate Tsui. Aimee indicated that she had to film a series and did not have time to adequately prepare for the promotional event.

Jayne: Wayne Lai must have been the most frequently quoted individual on this year’s Best Actor winner. He has endorsed himself (quoted as saying he possessed 80% to 50% confidence in winning the award), Kevin Cheng, Bosco Wong, and now Raymond Lam. I really wish that Raymond or Ron would be able to win the award soon. I think their acting is really good, but for some weird reason, Ron is never really noticed or in the top five for the award. I liked Ray’s acting before more than his acting now. He did better a few years ago, but never won the award. =(

All dramas kinda suck this year, if they can’t base the awards on acting(both Wayne and ray arent that good) then at least on character. Waynes character us the worst, he knows to much that it’s almost unbelievable and his character just talks as if he’s reading a book, they all do in that series. So I think Kevin, Ray or micheal should win the award if it’s based on their character, which I guess is more favorite character award but whatevs…I didn’t really make a point.
If base on acting, I think LF deserves to win this year by his performance in MWNS. He actually did his parts good enough to compare with anyone. But talk about the series then the series has one of worst plot development of this year.
Loungegirl, good question. I think the series FH3 has good rating is because of Wayne and Maggie who are known as rating pullers. Hence, the rating is good (imo)
I think the pairing of Ron and Kate also boosts up the ratings. That’s probably the only reason why I’m watching the series right now. If the series only had Wayne and Maggie in it with 2 other crappy actors replacing Ron and Kate’s roles, I would definately not watch it.
FH3 is high because it’s a case series. Everyone are curious with the cases.
But even the cases are not that interesting. The only parts I liked were Nancy courtroom stuff and the latest episode w/ Natalie b/c at least they have a personality. The romance storylines have been a total snooze-fest too.
Maybe the ratings are good b/c people keep hoping something exciting will happen soon.
I like the ‘Sky Eye girl’ case and the ‘Bus Brother’ case. Each case has some flaw. But, overall the storyline is interesting.
I am still watching FH3 because I like Wayne Lai and Maggie… and quite frankly, just for the heck of it even though I am COMPLETELY disappointed with this drama. To answer my own question above, my guess is ratings are still high because what else is there to watch at 9:30pm in Hong Kong? (I am not from HK) Does high ratings automatically translate to “Good drama”?
I agree that Wayne will not get the award this year, but it’s because his acting and role in FH3 wasn’t that special or that good. I really like the drama. I especially like the relationship between Ron and Kate. Also I do like Raymond’s acting, but I think his acting was better a few years ago compared to now. Ron and Ray are my 2 most fave male actors!
I disagree with you. I think FH3 is pretty good. The cases are interesting, the acting overall is good. Wayne and Maggie brings a mature and professional aspect to the show. Ron and Kate actually has pretty good chemistry. I enjoy Wayne’s character, very calm, mature and not over the top.

I do wonder the outcome of the TVB Best Actor Award. Michael Tse has met with TVB’s new majority shareholder, Charles Chan, but recent tabloid coverage of the “predetermined winner” of the TVB Best Actor Award seems to have been unclear. Kevin Cheng appears to have a lot of fan support.
Myolie Wu seems to be clearly the person who will win the Best Actress award.
I agree with you Jayne. Michael has TVB’s support, Kevin has fans support especially on weibo. Either of them will win.

I have mentioned this before in a comment on another news article before. I for some weird reason just don’t like Myolie at all. Don’t like her as an actor or singer, so I don’t want her to win, but if she’s never won this award before, then she’ll prob be wining this award in the coming 2 or 3 years (including this year).
I agreed, he mentioned Raymond few times but didn’t name Laughing. I think the top three Best Actor will be Wayne, Michael, and Kevin.

I like Wayne’s portrayal of Pro Sir. I think he acted very well in his role. He’s convincing as a smart professional and he act well in his scenes with his family.
But, Pro Sir is not an award winning role. The character doesn’t give the actor much chance to showcase his acting. The character does not have a very distinct personality.
Wayne looks like he’s doing Pro Sir in his sleep. I wouldn’t give him the Best Actor award this time.

Yea…so far i enjoyed jess and sunny’s scene but since yesterday,i began to dislike the series bcuz it is getting boring,btw,myolie’s acting is no outstanding.tavia is better so far than her(BTROC).Actually the best actess list is no one deserve it but if in terms of turn,i guess it is myolie’s turn or mayb tavia’s.but i thik kate’s performance and even fala are way better than them.and really hope wayne wont win bcuz i am getting tired of seeing him again and maggie cheung suxx in FH

Myolie’s character is still in the initial stages. I found that many are criticizing her character and mistaken it for her acting. Be patient. Chung Wai Kin stated that the real acting from Myolie will come in the second half of the series when she begins to experience more setbacks.
I am severely disappointed with Myolie. She lacked grace. It’s like she is not focusing on her character at all. Because if she did, she wouldn’t have that sort of body language. Right now she seems like some butcher’s daughter who so happens to have landed as a concubine by some lucky stroke. she used to be less is more, now she is just god awful.

overall, i actually think bosco did quite well this year…. in my opinion he did better than michael tse in LOO… all michael did was look “chok” and didnt actually convince me that he was a full-on protagonist if you know what i mean…
bosco did a rly good job portraying his role and deserves the award… however, tvb probably wont pick him yet and giving to the, what they belive, “more experienced” actors…… the young actors havent won an award for a while now, right?
Bosco is the best among the nominees nt bcuz i am his fan,i am never his fan but honestly speaking,his acting has improved..mike tse is getting arrogant from day to day..i think tvb’s best era is 90′s and mayb early 2000′s.we cant find a better series than cold blood warm heart starring all the best actors like adam,gallen,louis,chilam,jess,nadia and more..chilam deserves best actor award but not for his character this year.he is the best in return of the cuckoo and cold blood warm heart..seriously,chilam has a fantastic performance in cbwh forever and ever his best drama..Gallen is the best villain..nw,i don bother to watch tvb series except for some that are tolerable

Wayne is good in his acting and he play his role in excellence. I am sure the CEOs are aware of it. Wayne deserve the TV King Award. I have seen both Kevin and Raymond Lam acting. They are 50-50. For example Raymond Lam in the ‘White Snake & the Sorceror’. If not for the 3D – it is nothing. Referring to Kevin, after observing his role in many drama will explained why he dont deserve to be a TV King. Unfortunately, most people in Hongkong are voting both Kevin and Raymond Lam because of their ‘look’. As for their acting skill, I would say both are not that GOOD
I hope voters understand the tv king award is for the performance in that particular series. Not movies or previous years’ series. But if the audience likes the actor b/c of his look in the series, so be it.
Where do you watch ‘White Snake & the Sorceror’ 3D because as far as I know no cinema aired it in 3D. They claimed that some HK cinema will do such thing but end up, no 3D. Then I’m so curious for the place where you watch it in 3D.
