Jiro Wang Films Alternate Ending for “KO One Return”

Taiwan GTV’s latest idol television drama, KO One Return <終級一班2>, has been airing to high ratings this past week. The fantasy drama premiered on December 26, 2012, and is slated to finish its run on February 7, 2013.

KO One Return is the fourth installment and of the KO series, a series of four idol dramas that propelled Fahrenheit (飛輪海) members, Jiro Wang (汪東城), Aaron Yan (炎亞綸), and Calvin Chen (辰亦儒), to stardom.

KO One Return, which takes place 10 years after the series’ first installment KO One, stars only one Fahrenheit member, Jiro Wang, who reprises his role as dimension-traveling Wang Da Dong.

Ratings Hits 2.15%

Currently airing on GTV, the ratings of KO One Return’s latest episode reached an all-time high of 2.15 on Wednesday, January 23, during the scene where Jiro’s character travels back in time to ten years ago. Allegedly, that scene would have been Jiro’s last, and he would not be appearing in the remaining episodes of the serial.

Netizens who watched the episode in real time immediately complained on the drama’s message boards. Many of them consisted of pleas to bring Jiro’s character back into the story.

Due to the episode’s successful ratings and the fans’ constant pleas, the producers at GTV decided to reopen the project and bring back the KO One Return cast to film an alternate ending for Jiro’s character. Filming for KO One Return had originally completed six months ago.

To prevent the details of the alternate ending from getting leaked, the cast and crew had to sign confidentiality agreements.

Jiro was earlier seen filming an outdoor scene wearing a tank top under the freezing 8 degrees Celcius weather. Jiro refused to disclose what scene he was filming, but said, “The extra scene will be a great surprise for the audience. Please anticipate!”

    1. its, so bad it’s fun to watch, and then it gets a bit better. Or maybe i’m experiencing Stockholm Syndrome.

    2. The show was pretty good from ep 1-16.(: But the storyline went haywire afterwards, esp the last 2 ep, from my point of view.):

  1. Can they invite all the main cast of KO One to act in the alternate episode? It’s only 1 episode. I’m sure Arron, Calvin and Danson can guest star.
