No Love Sparks Between Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung

Kenneth Ma (馬國明) successfully took over Moses Chan’s (陳豪) spot as TVB’s number one diamond bachelor when the latter married Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) in Paris last month. Kenneth seems to be quite popular with the girls, and since breaking up with Nancy Wu (胡定欣) in 2011, Kenneth has sparked dating rumors with costars Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Selena Li (李詩韻), and Natalie Tong (唐詩詠).

Kenneth’s Cold Mountain, Hidden Dragon <寒山潛龍> costar, Selena, expressed that she will consider dating Kenneth if both of them could not find their other half in five years. Last summer, Kenneth was rumored to be Myolie’s close confidant after she broke up with Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), and a few months ago, the tabloids claimed that Kenneth was Natalie’s “secret lover” for three months.

Although Kenneth’s alleged romances with his fellow TVB starlets were repeatedly mentioned by Hong Kong tabloid magazines, the actor is actually not very lucky when it comes to finding a new dating partner. Tabloids reported that Kenneth and his The Hippocratic Crush 2 <On Call 36小時 II> costar, Tavia Yeung (楊怡), did not generate any love sparks on the set of their medical drama, despite being a popular pairing among fans.

Earlier this week, Kenneth, Tavia, and Gigi Wong (黃淑儀) filmed an outdoor scene for The Hippocratic Crush 2 in Lei King Wan. Shooting in the scorching heat, the professionally-dressed trio had to have their makeup reapplied every hour. The trio shot a scene of Kenneth driving. The crew went for a second shot at a different camera angle. Half an hour later, the crew packed up to move to a new location.

After the scene was completed, Tavia changed into a new set of clothes and immediately left the set. Ten minutes later, Kenneth and Gigi completed their separate scenes and the pair quickly left the set. Kenneth passed by a few high school students who gushed at his handsome looks. In a hurry to return back to the TVB studios, Kenneth appeared to not have heard the high school students.

Tavia and Eliza Get Along Well

Earlier, the cast of The Hippocratic Crush 2 filmed a beach scene which featured Tavia, Eliza Sam (岑麗香), Lawrence Ng (吳啟華), Louisa So (蘇玉華), Tracy Chu (朱千雪) and Koo Ming Wah (古明華). The scene featured the doctors getting together for a day of relaxation at the beach. And because of the good weather, filming quickly concluded. With time to spare, the cast spent the rest of the day playing around the beach – snapping pictures, building sandcastles and playing beach ball.

Tavia and Eliza got along well and took many photos together, dispelling the rumor that they are love rivals over Him Law  (羅仲謙). Tavia joked, “We are good friends. Previously, we played even more wildly on our overseas trip together. Reports should write about our love for each other instead!” 

Louisa Tortures Lawrence

When Louisa was announced as part of the cast, many assumed that she would pair with Lawrence. However, they often quarrel in the drama. Louisa said, “Besides scolding Lawrence a lot in the show, I would also use many methods to ‘torture’ him. Though the knots in our heart have been loosened [by Lawrence’s teenage daughter], we still often quarrel due to our different viewpoints.”
