“Rosy Business 3: No Reserve” Begins Filming

*Spoilers*

The cast of Rosy Business 3: No Reserve <巾幗梟雄之諜血長天> attended a blessing ceremony on Monday, marking the start of filming for the anticipated TVB drama.

Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Sire Ma (馬賽), and Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤) appeared at the event in their costumes. Wayne generated much laughter as he stepped onto the set. The TV King sported a full suit, glasses, and a hilarious center-part hairdo. Myolie teased that Wayne is dressed for Halloween, but Wayne explained that it is simply the character design for the villain he plays in the series.

When asked about Myolie’s rape scenes in No Reserve, Wayne stated that his character is impotent and joked that he is not “lucky” enough to participate. Wayne also commented about the rumored gruesome murder scenes, saying that the act will be implied via other means due to broadcast restrictions.

The production team is scheduled to attend location shooting in Foshan this June. Due to the recent bird flu outbreak in mainland China, many artists are taking meticulous precautions when traveling for work functions. Wayne seems unconcerned about the health risks. “I’m not worried yet. Southern China is still safe at the moment, although we should be careful anyway since people have died [from the illness]. It will be hot in June, and bacteria thrives in hot weather. I will just eat less chicken and cook my food more thoroughly. I’m more concerned about the pigeons defecating on us in the middle of a scene!”

Myolie, who was recently caught kissing a female friend in public, once again addressed reports that claimed she is changing her sexual preferences. “I don’t think I will [be interested in women] for now! I don’t feel like I will! But nothing is 100 percent certain in this world…. I have many [lesbian] friends, but I have never tried [dating women], and I have never been pursued by women!”

  1. In other news reports, Wayne said the reason his character is impotent is because he was raped by Jap. soldiers too. Rape scenes to the next level….

      1. The rape will shape the older brother’s character, but don’t know if there’s an actual scene for it

    1. Ok just read the Ming pao article, you’re not joking. He thought his mother abandoned him, ended up in Japan and got raped.

Dear me, I honestly have a much higher opinion for Tim gor. This plot is a joke and is potentially a new low for TVB!

    2. TVB can’t seem to win. Realism or Censorship? Complaints from viewers either way.

      1. I’d go for realism any day. People who can’t handle it can watch their rainbows and ponies elsewhere

  2. Is Yoyo Chen taking over Natalie’s role for this?

  3. Is this the first series Yoyo’s taking part in since having her baby?

  4. I think Myolie would be refreshing but I kind of miss Sheren Tang.

      1. Tim Gor wanted to do something different for RB3, and the role (later given to Myolie) was not suitable for Sheren to play. I believe the role is a bit too young for Sheren.

Naturally, I thought Wayne’s role(s) should be given to a younger actor as well, but then again, with already one major regular gone, the RB name wouldn’t have enough credit to be carried down if Wayne was gone too. Also, I don’t think any younger TVB actor up to this point (maybe except for Ruco Chan) has enough acting chops for the part.

  5. I really don’t understand why so many are calling out RB as a new low for TVB. I actually find it very melodramatic in a refreshing way. There are crazy people (Japanese Wayne + Edwin), tragic people (Sire), and heroes (Chinese Wayne + Myolie) all in one, and as it is set during the turbulent Japanese war, I really wouldn’t expect the show to be all angels and saints.

    1. I totally agree with u, Addy. Based on the background set during the Sino Jap-War, many gruesome & horrific moments did happen, maybe not known to alot of people in this new generation. So having those frightful scenes are just relevant. I believe alot of older people who watch this would have the same feeling. I personally is looking forward to this as I really hoppe to see great acting skills by the ‘stars’.

also have many dramatic cases which are too fearful in today world.

      Looking forward! 🙂

  6. Read some history and you will find too many tragic examples of what the Japanese military did to the common people in SE Asia during WW2. So please enlighten me why TVB is supposed to have sink to a new low by this new RB plot? If you only want to see all sweet smelling roses watch cartoons or maybe some are still too violent for you la!

    1. Maybe they are referring to the rape scenes being used excessively by TVB. For the past 5 or 6 series there’s almost a rape scene in each one. So instead of using woman as the victim, this time they are using a man which might be rather repulsive by others?

      1. But if the rape scenes are relevant, I do not think it has any issue. I like what Myolie said during the HK Filmart recently. She mentioned that the rape scenes should not be a highlight of the whole drama but it is relevant to bring the message to the audience why the character she played became like that and how it further develop along with the storyline. That should be the emphasis…otherwise there would not be any climax.

I am totally looking forward to this. 🙂

  7. Really looking forward to this series! Wayne outfit is hilarious.
